This synchro assembly arrrived quick, but after inspecting, I'm not happy...1. The teeth on the brass rings are more rounded/less pointed than on others I've used. See photo.2. The springs are low quality, and don't have the force of any others ive ever used. In fact, the ends touch/cross when installed. Theyre also made of round spring wire, not the flat/square stock used by the other brands. See photo. The spring from this synchro is on the right. You can see it doesn't have much "spring" to offer and you can feel the difference/weakness too.3. The dogs ( or keys, or plates, or whatever you like to call them) seem low quality compared to other brands. Darker set in photo is from this synchronizer. The shiny set are from a reputable brand. See photoI replaced the springs and dogs with higher quality parts I had on hand. But im Still hesitant to install this synchro after noticing all of these details. I wish i wouldve spent the extra money and bought one from the leading brand.
