Replaced my IAC on my 97 Town Car with a genuine motorcraft part because the idle was oscillating. Within a month this new unit has failed, my car is idling very high, a light tap with a small hammer unsticks the valve and the idle returns to the correct level. Unfortunately it started doing this just a couple days after the 30-day Amazon return window so now I have to either pay for a new one or deal with warranty service. Either way, the old one will go back on because a little a little hunting is better than the inevitable high racing engine.

Can't go wrong with Motorcraft. My car was idling rough and producing a loud mechanical whine from the engine. I later checked the air intake box and discovered that's where the noise was originating. Replaced the IAC valve and problem solved!

I bought this after I bought a cheap knock off that didn't last long. Go with the original OEM Motorcraft for your Ford!Yes, I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

I replaced this myself, really easy to do, just beware that it DOES NOT COME WITH THE GASKET, but you can get one for like 2 dollars at advance auto parts (Fel Pro 71216). Fixed stalling issue.
