Installed this on my 2017 F-350 Drw 6.7 PSD. at 40k miles. The old one was completely caked in oil and looked to have been bypassing the filter material quit often. Don’t want the dreaded upper oil pan oil leak so keeping this filter clean and flowing I believe helps prevent oil leaks.

Even though listed for my truck it was the incorrect part. More details needed

All you need is an small adjustable wrench, a 1/2 flex head socket wrench, a deep well 8 mm socket, 8mm shallow well socket and a 10mm socket. The filter is easy to swap out once you get the filter lid off. Took me 45 minutes to do the job. Saved me a good chunk of cash doing it myself.

Beware our trucks 17-19 F250 have two different filters. Some have these which my truck does not and some have the style that you change the whole box out. Just check which one you have. I had to send mine back.

My 2018 F350 had a severe blowback. It was even hard to keep the dipstick in place, the pressure was blowing it out. I was told to take the truck to the dealership ASAP so they may work on the issue or may even replace the engine!!! Searching online I found that the problem could be this filter so why not try this first? I ordered one. I got this filter (separator) and was impressed when I compared the old one to this brand new Motorcraft. No wonder I had that blowback!!!! Replacing it is not very easy. It’s a pain to work in that limited space in between the engine and the firewall. But after I finished, the blowback was completely gone!! Excellent product! I strongly recommend!!

Following the a few You Tube reviews about the CCV filters being plugged around 30 -36K miles I investigated and found excessive crankcase pressure. Ordered this Motorcraft filter and replaced the old one problem solved. Ford recommends replacement at 90K miles, If you love your Truck 30K is more appropriate. The filters are pricey but the 6.7L engine is far more pricey to repair.
