Only put these glow plugs in your truck. All others are bad quality and melt/burnout quickly. Worked great on a 1993 f250 7.3

If you own a IDI dont EVER buy autolite plugs. Almost cost me a arm and leg to remove the cheap plugs from the heads. These will start faster/and make your truck 100x more reliable agian. Worth EVERY penny!!! Motorcraft for life!!!

The ZD-9s from Motorcraft seem to be the ONLY glow plug that works well and will LAST, all others fail in a year or two. Save yourself some frustration and money and get the Ford Motorcraft ZD-9 glow plugs.

Don't waste your money on OTHER cheap brands that swell up and break off in your head when they burn up like the two AUTO***** ones I regrettably tried at 136K mi that lasted for 3 cold starts and 14miles..literally! These made my 7.3 run like new, no more white smoke, easy starts, same as the ones that have 136K mi on them, removed bad Motorcraft ones easily, others still in good shape!

I know the Internet is already full of horror stories about Autolite glow plugs, but here's one more:I bought 8 Autolites and 3 of them burned out the same day I installed them; the wait-to-start light blinked once, and then I got the dreaded relay clicks. I bought these Motorcrafts and the vehicle (a 1990 Econoline 350 with a 7.3 IDI) started right up. The wait light stays on for 10 or so seconds like it should.I agree with the other reviewer: the photo shows the old "spade" style glow plugs, but you will receive the newer ZD9 "bullet" style.

This is actually a picture of the ZD1 which is for an earlier model year.The ZD9 has a "bullet" connector.According to many experts, this is the brand to use or maybe Beru if you can find it.Autolite lasted me less than 6K miles and at the warm part of the year as well.I hear Champion are worse and I had 7 out of 8 newer Bosch burned out completely while one far older glow plug (could not see the brand but likely Motorcraft as that is OEM) held up perfectly upon actual testing.
