I had a wreck 2weeks ago. Truck pulled out in front of me. Laid it down on left side slid and then put myself in the roll position . Pull your arms and hands up and try and roll like in a fire. Hands covering face will help wonders. Gloves worked. I had ruptured spleen and blood clot in left leg but this item saved me from rash all over my back and front torso. Well worth it.

This vest is too thin for anyone. Wearing it while riding could possibly assure you an injury because of its size. The Velcro is not secure, the shell is thin and the armor (so-called) is like the toy “Captain America” shield my son got for Christmas. A few recommendations….. More padding, harder shell, and Velcro with clip fasteners for a more secure fitting.

Feels very light, and very flexible. Not sure how much protection it will actually provide, but if it saves me any skin on a slide ill be happy. Keeps my shirt down from flapping up in the back, and helps me advertise my shop. Just hard to get a sticker between all the cracks and whatnot. Great buy for the buck. If you think you're in between sizes, id go with the smaller of the 2. The elastic stretches really good, but if its too big, then you're SOL.

I bought these a while ago and the plastic is about a quarter inch thick, but i got into an accident and it did its job. I slid on my back for about 30 feet and it held together and I received no road rash on my back and i could still use it if i really want to. It was easy to adjust it to a comfortable fit and i didn't have any problems with it sliding up or down while wearing it. One thing is i wouldn't recommend it if you want to protect yourself from any sort of impact because between the plastic and the padding it is around an inch thick, but it is definitely good armor for 35$!

The product is nice. Fits well. I chose a medium and it fits snug on me. I am disappointed that the vest already has some deep scratches on it as well as is a little dirty.
