It works pretty much as it states. I have it on just tight enough to hold it lightly for testing and it holds well enough and it's easy to just push the throttle forward to reposition the lever. Even loose like that it still held my bike at speed before I had to readjust it. When I checked the function after tightening a little more it still worked (tested while parked) to thumb slide it to the brake and push forward to release. I assume it will hold speed better now. Y'all just have to adjust it to what's comfortable and safe. It is what it is, simple and easy to use.

Awful product! Spent a full hour trying to figure out how to make this hold the speed… never did. What it did do is lock my throttle up so I lost throttle and massive speed while on the freeway suddenly. Luckily I maintained control and the people behind me were paying attention because my speed dropped so quickly. I happened to be on my way to the race tracks and talked to several moto racers about it and they could guess the exact cruise control device this was without me saying a thing. I’m very fortunate…

Takes up space on the grip. I found that bringing over your left hand to set is easiest. Sharp edges annoying a bit. But it does work OK for what I do but wouldn't have it on the bike for dual purpose trail riding. Take it off and pack it once in the dirt.

This item is not to bad for what it costs, I got it, put it on my bike and went to go test it to see how well it works… it does its job, the only problem is no matter how tight you get it, it always ends up slipping so you will have to constantly adjust. Also I only used it for a couple of days before it started to rust and looks ugly now. It definitely is the best option for cruise control for you motorcycle.

Due to the vibrations it will loosen up slowly. You will lose slowly lose speed over time due to it not being tight enough. But easy access allows you to snug it up when need be. So far it's great for when I need to give my throttle hand a rest and in my case get circulation back in my hand when riding. It could be that I didn't tighten it down enough but it's sufficient enough for what I need. If you are riding in areas where there are hills then you set it for a specific speed on flats then you will lose speed uphill gain speed downhill even if the throttle assist doesn't move. It is great because you do not consistently have to keep your throttle turned with your wrist and can take occasional breaks. So if you're like me and have issues with circulation in your hands and need to take your hand off the throttle a few minutes to shake your hand so that you can get blood flow back into it then I do recommend this product. I had it delivered to Amazon locker at a gas station because I wasnt able to receive the package at my house at the estimated time of delivery so I can not vouche for the delivery or any of that.

I have the spring on my throttle disconnected, so my throttle hand isn't constantly under tension anyway. But, it will roll off a little due to vibration and road conditions. I got this for a "poor man's" cruise control and it works great! It slides easily when necessary, but holds when it's supposed to.I roll on, push it down to my brake lever with my index finger, and then rest. If I need to slow down, I just roll of and it slides as it should. You can adjust the tension knob to your liking and it works great.***UPDATE***If you're on the fence about this thing, lemme give you a push! It's still on my bike and I use it every single time I ride! The o-ring on the set screw has deteriorated and it still holds. I store the bike outside (under a carport, but not closed in) exposed to the elements and it hasn't affected its operation. The black finish is now a bronze color, as it has faded, but I don't care.I often ride with only one hand, resting my shoulders, and this clamp allows me to switch anytime I like.WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

Yo do have to clamp down with that thumbscrew quite tightly against the silicone rubber ring that should be placed over the handgrip, else it will allow set throttle position to slowly drift down... But when it is adjusted - once - to "stay put", it is still easy enough to flick it into position with the smaller lever, and also quite easy to roll the throttle closed against its grip. By far, the least expensive throttle-lock, and absolutely adequate to give you time at the set speed to "shake out" your cramped right hand. Not really designed to hold speed for hours...
