This Exhaust Muffler Mat Packing worked well for me. I needed to take the edge off of a 2-into-1 exhaust that was a bit raspy for my taste.I removed the stock baffle and wrapped the outside in the mat packing, secured it with heat proof bailing wire and reinstalled.The exhaust note was much better, eliminating the raspiness with no negative performance implications.Did the job. just keep in mind that protective eyewear and gloves is recommended as the matt is fiberglass.
