So, you may be thinking, "what the heck is this thing, anyway?!" Well, if you're asking that question then you probably don't know much about a whole-house AC evaportator unit. That was me until around 3 weeks ago when I started having some issues with my unit and had a tech come and scope it out. This is around a $20.00 part. And the tech that fixed mine charged me almost $300.00 for the part and around 10 minutes of labor to install it. Needless to say, after he gave me the defective part I got on Amazon immediately and discovered I had been totally, completely, and entirely hosed over. I called the company immediately and complained vociferously. I also ordered this part and used it as a bargaining chip in my case. So, I got what I wanted and now I have a back-up part in case my AC evaporator unit goes back on the fritz. If you do your own replacement of this part please make sure that you've cut off all power to the unit before you start poking around with a screw driver. This thing is a 220v unit and will definitely light up your life if you manage to get your skin close to one of the power supply lines. Make sure the breaker is off and test the line to make certain it's dead before poking around!

My AC condenser quit running and I opened it up and figured out that I needed to replace two capacitors and the contactor. Its nice to have the skills to troubleshoot this. Everything works great again and I have a cool house.

This did just what it should. I installed it in place of the one I had which would sometimes stick. I spoke with our ac guy and he advised it'd be about 200$ to replace. I ordered this and took care of it myself. Worked great and the ac is back in business. I'd recommend just to be safe, disconnect the power to the ac unit before you start working on it. I did just to be safe.

AC repair companies wanted $600 and up to fix my unit. And this was the only part that was bad. And I knew that to start with and had to be the one to tell them what the actual issue was. Thank god for amazon and DIY motivation! If I could rate this product higher than 5 stars I would. 10 stars all the way!!!!!

I was able to locate the identical replacement contactor through the Amazon vendor at the most reasonable price available. The unit was a perfect fit and works great. Since my house AC was out of service because of the original contactor going bad, getting this replacement within 2 days through Prime was a real blessing.
