This has been the perfect jacket for my 5 year old through the Spring. We used both pieces during a cold early Spring, just the outer shell on warm and wet days, and the fleece jacket on cooler days as the season progressed. It has been perfectly versatile and will be a 3 season jacket for us (Spring, Summer, Fall).
