Waterproof (2000mm)
This waterproof material has been laboratory tested as having a hydrostatic rating of 2,000mm. This is a measure of the water pressure a garment can withstand which indicates how water proof it is. The higher the number, the greater water pressure it can withstand.
Taped Seams
Taped seams provide a physical barrier that prevents water from leaking through seams, stitching or joins in the fabric, making every inch of the garment waterproof. These garments are ideal for outdoor activities in changeable or wet weather.
Lightweight
Lightweight fabric is perfect for activities such as hiking, walking or cycling. It provides a layer of protection without adding bulk.
The Difference Between Waterproof & Water Resistant
Shopping for a jacket can be confusing, with different terms and ratings used. Below is a simple guide to help you pick the perfect jacket:
Showerproof: The fabric is treated with a coating that resists water. These jackets are a great value-for-money option to keep you dry in light rain showers.
Water-Resistant: The fabric is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating. This allows moisture to bead and roll off the surface. Ideal for light rain or limited exposure to heavier rain.
Waterproof: These fabrics can withstand heavier rainfall without letting moisture in. They will usually quote a lab-tested "hydrostatic head" rating, which measures the level of waterproofness. Higher ratings (5,000mm or 10,000mm) are the most waterproof, ideal for activities in wet or changeable conditions.

This is a great, lightweight jacket - water proof (even the seams) rather than water resistant. One comment is that it is a generous fit. My husband normally wears a medium (which I ordered and received), and he probably would be better with a size small. K

This is a nice smart jacket. Fitted nicely. The water literally rolls of it. Good fit, lightweight and a nice fleecy lining for a little bit of warmth. Good value jacket.

War zuerst etwas skeptisch bis zu welchem Grad die Jacke tatsächlich Wasserdicht ist. Siehe da, bei starkem Regen absolut Wasserdicht. Die Jacke ist dünn was sie für mich aber auch sein sollte.

For the price and being waterproof, my expectations weren't too high. But it's still a decent & lightweight rain jacket for spring/summer weather. The stitching at the seams doesn't seem like it'll hold up over time, but it should last a couple seasons without an issue.I tested it in during a rainy morning walk and it kept me dry. Not sure how it would hold up in a downpour over long periods, but light/medium rains are no problem with this jacket.Just note that this jacket runs BIG. For reference, I'm 5'8" and 155 lbs with athletic build. I'm usually somewhere between a small/medium depending on brand. But with this, even the XS is big on me. The XS fitment is good in the shoulders and sleeve, but there's a lot of extra room in the mid-section. Definitely good for people with bigger stomachs. I have a similar jacket made by Columbia in size medium that's smaller than this jacket in size XS.

Why spend $60 or more on a waterproof shell when you can have this for $30? Well worth the money and I would highly recommend it. I am 5’10” and 165 lbs and athletic build. Surprisingly the medium fit very well and I have room to layer. I have had very good luck with the Mountain Warehouse brand of clothes.

very nice and comfortable and well worth the money. The only problem I had was the zipper zips on the same side as the women's jacket.
