My gf uses these walking sticks on a daily basis. I was actually surprised how long they lasted with use mostly on hard surfaces like parking lots and concrete, etc.. On the 3rd pair in almost a year, and will buy again when these wear out.They fit perfectly on her Mountainsmith sticks. Pull the old ones off, pop the new ones on. Done.Worth it.

Initially I was glad to find these because they fit the hiking poles I purchased at REI but they're WAY over priced. They used to be several $$'s cheaper but the price just seems to go up and up. I found them elsewhere on line for $5.95 but since I need them sooner rather than later, I purchased them from Amazon again.As far as wearing out quickly, they all do, even the cheaper generic brands. I use these for rural road walking but for trail hiking, I've found my old X-C ski poles work better and no need to worry about tips wearing out or the cost of these pole boot replacements.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend who's pole knob had run down. You could hear the clacking noise as she walked and this was not pleasant for her. I checked the measurements and ordered them. It fits like a glove and was easy to assemble by herself.

While these do wear out pretty fast, the soft rubber works better in winter than the knockoffs. So, I have a bag of the knockoffs that work well in warm weather and have just now ordered another round of these for winter. I have a disability, and the walking stick really helps me when walking my dog, etc.I was very disappointed in how fast these wear through, but the softer rubber grips much better when the surface is frozen and slippery.Short story: poor durability, good grip.

These new tips are a direct replacement for my Mountainsmith hiking poles. After a year, mine wore out and these are very nice and easy to install

I bought these so that I can continue to hike my favorite trails in spite of severe arthritis in one of my hips. I like them so much that I plan on continuing to use them after my hip surgery and beyond. I find the cork handles to be very comfortable.

Exact replacement for the original rubber tips that had worn thru to the carbide metal tips.Used to use my mountainsmith treking poles for hiking in southwestern Utah deserts until blood clots in my left leg put an end to hiking. I now use the poles to help me walk on pavement and slippery tile in buildings.The soft rubber tips won't slip even on shiney,slippery tile floors in doctors offices and coffee shops.Pricey, but worth it.
