Adds another level of protection to shut down the electric fuel pump when the switch senses no oil pressure.

SO INACCURATE AS TO BE USELESS!Just received this today. It's contacts switch at between 1 and 2 psi, NOT the 15 psi that is specified buy Mr. Gasket/Holley.Amazon won't let me post the specs, but you can look them up on Holley's website. This is the third switch I've bought, in an attempt to find one which will turn on a warning light below 15-30psi.A warning at 2 or 3 psi is USELESS, as your engine is already destroyed at that point. Most of these pressure switches don't even list their pressure rating, and apparently those that do, post grossly inaccurate information.

This was added to my installation as a safety measure. I didn't have any issues with it, functionally it worked with my fuel pump relay harness kit. It was a tad long for my application, but I eventually got it to fit. Car started on first try.1984 GMC S15 Jimmy 4X4 2.8L -> 3.4L Engine Swap

Works as advertised. Once threaded into the NPT tee there are three wires to connect: ignition, start, and fuel pump. I would give it 5 stars but the instructions got destroyed when I tried to remove them because of the design of the packaging.

I had tried the Holly version and after 5 mins it leaked so I had to order a new one. This arrived and as far as I could tell it had what looked to be about a 15psi cutoff. I installed it and tested it an got the engine to operating temperature to bleed the cooling system (get the air out). The sensor hasn't leaked like some of the other had reportedly done. I needed one of these to cut the fuel off after a few seconds if the motor stops running (stalls out in the event of an accident on a race course). One thing I'd advise but it's my opinions: Use the pressure switch to activate the primary side of a relay and use the secondary of the relay to supply the power to the fuel pump; if you have a fuel pump taking a lot of power then I would suspect you could damage the contacts and I use a prime button to override the switch rather than place the switch in the path of whole currentChris

We were told that the plastic units would leak. This unit worked fine but it was very hard to get to on a 85 Vette.

Installed one on VW Beetle. Worked fine for a month, then it quit (no power on the terminal to the fuel pump when oil pressure is present). Installed a second, new one. Worked 1 month and quit. Installed a third, new one. Didn't work right, straight from the package: keeps fuel pump running after engine shuts down. All three switches were correctly connected, and there's nothing wrong with the fuel pump. Oil pressure is good -- new oil pump, fresh oil. This switch appears to be a piece of junk. I am hooking up a fuel pump relay instead, which creates an electrical solution for the fuel pump safety requirement, instead of a mechanical one.Order this item and waste your money. Highly disappointed.

Works as described. Used for an old boat motor aplication, it's universal if the threads fit. It has bot Normally open and normally closed so it fits most aplications I've seen.
