I bought these to go on vacation. These kept our electronics all dry. These are made nice too and have a good bit of room in them.

My husband and I went on vacation without these ONCE, and quickly purchased these for our next trip in order for us to be able to bring all our valuables to the pool/ocean. The pouch has 3 ziploc zippers as well as a Velcro strip to ensure your items are not only secure but also AIR TIGHT!I also think the size was PERFECT. An individual pouch can hold 2 iphones, cards/IDs, money, keychain, travel size sunscreen, sunglasses and still has some room leftover. This is a vacation essential if you ask me, and you can’t beat the price!

We used these pouches when climbing Dunns River Falls in Jamaica and the worked perfectly, keeping our camera phones dry even when we got splashed by the cascading water and even though when we reached in to get them, our hands were wet. Phones were safe!

I was snorkeling using this and freaked out when I didn't feel it at my hip. Strangely, it had turned to my back and was helping me with buoyancy in the ocean. It kept everything super dry and safe. Used it 3-4 times on my vacation with my cell phone, wallet, and necessities. Holds more stuff than I thought.

Purchased for a girls trip to Hawaii. Everyone LOVED them. They were so handy to have on any adventure and kept necessities safe and dry. Used on tubing adventures, hikes, and snorkeling. Some of the girls used them around town because the size was right and they had a strap to go over the shoulder. Would totally recommend. They were great deal and sturdy for the price. They are not top of the line but perfect for the activities we had planned.

It started ok for about a week but after that the 3 ziploc grooves started breaking up. I'm a senior & use it on my walks in Oregon to keep my phone dry. No freezing weather or long sun exposure. Just normal everyday use. The plastic material needs to be more pliable, it's stiff & cracks easily. Wouldn't recommend it.

Update: Over time, the plastic of these pouches softened, making it easier to open and close the seals.I searched for a long time to find pouches this size---there are many smaller and larger, but this size is perfect for my particular items. I got these pouches to protect my cell phone, camera, and wallet while kayaking. The cell phone and wallet go in one pouch, then in a roll-top drybag, then in a sealed hatch. I especially wanted a waterproof pouch for my digital camera so I can keep it in the cockpit or the front day hatch and take photos on the water. It works well for this purpose. It has three ziplock seals plus a velcro closure. I don't always seal all three ziplocks because it takes a fair amount of time and effort to do that correctly. The seal is very tight and fairly hard to pry open (which makes it waterproof), so you don't want to have to do this too often for a camera you use a lot. Usually "splashproof" is good enough for my camera in benign conditions so I seal one ziplock and the velcro closure in order to have quicker access to the camera. If there were a risk of capsizing I would seal all three ziplocks. Kayak day hatches aren't always truly waterproof, so I'm more comfortable with the camera in the pouch and then in the day hatch---two layers of protection. You can't beat the price for these, especially since you get two of them. They seem rugged enough. One drawback is that the waist strip could be too short for some people. It's also too short to serve as a shoulder strap. I actually removed the strap (cut it off) because I didn't need it, so the length didn't both me personally.I did a brief kleenex submersion test to compare the Mr. Pen pouch to the MasterTool 2-liter drybag, which is a convenient small size for cameras etc. The Mr. Pen pouch passed the test, but I stress that it was only a brief test of a few minutes and the company doesn't specify any IPX rating so I don't know for how long or how deep the pouch is waterproof (time and depth are specified in IPX ratings). The MasterTool drybag failed the test badly---it admits water where the straps are attached to the bag at the corners. So far so good with the Mr. Pen pouch, but if you really want to protect your valuables you should do a 30-minute submersion test with a kleenex in the bag. Also, I think that multiple openings and closings of the bag could eventually weaken the plastic and the seals. The MasterTool bag certainly has much more rugged, waterproof material, but the closing system is faulty. With plastic boxes that have a rubber seal, check the IPX rating---some of those state "not for submersion" right on the cover. In summary, it's not that easy to make a container that's truly submersible, easy to use, and durable, so be careful with your valuables.
