This item was delivered yesterday. I immediately ran my 4-month old puppy's collar through the loop and put it on her. That was around 6:30 PM. It was great for a while. It made it much easier to keep track of my dog without having to constantly watch her. Then, right before I went to bed (around midnight) I noticed that it wasn't making any noise. I checked her collar, and the loop was open -- the rivet or whatever that holds the loop strap closed had given way. The loop was still on her collar but the bell was gone. I still haven't found it. Going to look for it again when I get home from work this evening. Maybe it can be reattached and repaired. We'll see.Update:I found everything and was able to get it all back together. What I thought was a rivet can more accurately be described as a decorative bolt with a fancy cap nut. Once I found the bolt and cap nut, everything went back together easily. I was able to get the nut on good and tight by hand and haven't had any further issues...Even with my puppy trying to chew on the bell, it's held up really well. So, I would advise anyone getting this to check and make sure the nut is on good and tight.

This is a loud bell - what I was looking for, however my husband felt it was too loud particularly when he had his hearing aids on. We bought a second collar for the dog and only use the bell on that collar at night when he loves to run off into the dark.
