  • Filters out seeds and skins for smooth sauces and purees; drain liquids and whey from dairy for denser homemade cheese and thick Greek yogurt
  • Wrap herbs and spices in a bouquet garni to extract easily before serving foods, infuse oil and vinegar, make mulled cider, or homebrew craft beer
  • Allows proper airflow for making probiotic and fermented food, like kefir and kombucha tea; protects food from debris and bugs during fermentation

Mrs. Anderson’s extra-fine, unbleached cotton Cheesecloth is invaluable among kitchen supplies for cooking, roasting, draining, straining, and sieving. Filter out seeds, skins, fibrous bulk, and lumps for silky-smooth syrups and jellies, sauces, pastes, purees, gravies, cream soups, clear broth, and stock. Add it to canning supplies. Line a strainer or colander with cheesecloth, place a catch bowl underneath, and pour in the item to be strained. Use multiple layers to trap even smaller bits. An essential of cheese making supplies, it captures dairy solids and allows whey to drain for a firmer homemade cheese. It promotes air circulation to keep cheese mold free as it ages. Strain liquids from homemade yogurt for a thicker Greek yogurt. Wrap cheesecloth around herbs and spices as a sachet or bouquet garni that’s easily lifted out from soups, stews and stocks, make an herb infuser to flavor oil and vinegar, fill with mulling spices for mulled cider, add pickling spices to a brine recipe for pickles, sauerkraut and other cabbage recipes, steep loose tea leaves, catch seeds and pulp when juicing lemons, or strain bits from homemade almond milk. For juicy, flavorful oven roasted poultry, soak cheesecloth in a mixture of melted butter and wine, or cider, and drape it over top to slow baste roasted turkey. A must-have for home brewing supplies, tie up hops and whole grains in the cheesecloth, as a steeping bag, to contain and easily extract them without having to filter out husks from a homebrew craft beer. A helpful addition to fermenting supplies, it allows ample airflow for making kefir and other probiotic and fermented foods, or kombucha and other fermented tea, and protects food from debris and bugs during the fermentation process. Also great for waxing and polishing furniture. Made from 40s weight unbleached cotton woven 20 x 10 threads per inch. Brought to you by HIC, a third-generation family owned and operated company in the USA since 1957.

It's a bit looser weave than I expected but I'll double it and it should be fine. I highly recommend the seller. There was an issue with my order that they very quickly resolved. I would buy from this store again especially because they have some very nice, quality kitchen gadgets.

This product was not what I was expecting!!It appears to be like gauge!! But any-who, after using it for my products ( instagram: @adia_s_c) it started to fall apart especially after being cut!! I had to wrap herbs with a couple layer as the cloth is really thin and hole become bigger if stretched. Very disappointing.

I use and reuse this cheesecloth all the time. I use it for yogurt making, blanching, whatever, and it always holds up to cleaning and reuse. I’ve found other cheesecloth for slightly cheaper that worked just as well, but this is still a good deal and a good product.

I needed cheesecloth to make a bag for holding pulverized pineapple in some fruit wine I was fermenting — this was perfect! I had plenty of yardage to tie up a large cloth bag and have tons left over and it’s worked perfectly. Honestly never bought cheesecloth before so can’t really compare, but I can’t imagine needing anything more out of it. Seemed like a good price compared to others I found and I saw no issues with quality.

What you would expect from cheesecloth. I used to make elderberry syrup and it worked perfectly. Better value then other sellers

It's cheese cloth. It does cheese clothy things. It doesn't taste like cheese at all, but It's everything you could ask for in cheese cloth.
