Z690A Motherboard showed up with a broken Bios button. as in physically destroyed, it was bent over 90 degrees and the switch itself was broken open. luckily it didnt really matter, the two pins were still attached to the board so i was able to just use a screwdriver to jump them in order to flash the Bios update and be able to use the 14th gen CPU. my board arrived with BIOS from 2023 so if u have a 13 or 14th gen be sure to update ur BIOS. board appeared to be brand new minus the broken bios flash button. the box it came in had a no padding of any kind and was put in an amazon paper Bag for shipping. upon arrival the motherboard box had a 6 inch rip/dent in the middle of it, obviously from a heavy impact directly on to the motherboard box, really could have done a better job packaging it, even if its a refurb. oh also a tip if u have any older SATA 3 m.2 drives they will only work in the M.2 ports 3 and 4, it does not specify this anywhere and i saw a lot of people asking about why their drives are not being detected. thats why, nothing is broken.

Always a bit skeptical of buying used/refurb computer parts but this motherboard has been great, pro tip to anyone else buying a used/refurb motherboard like this, ESPECIALLY since this one is 12th gen intel... UPDATE THE BIOS ASAP, especially with 12th gen intel, you need to in order to fix the stability issues.

Got multiple replacements really wanted them to work cause it’s a great deal but on one the bios switch was broken and the other came out the box with bent motherboard pins I guess it’s alright purchase if your willing to take a gamble but honestly I’d pay 50$ more for a new one as bent pins on your mobo can fry your whole rig

Lasted slightly more than a year. Then it started giving me onboard GPU trouble. Was kept indoors in a clean, stable temp room. The system started throwing artifacts about a year into usage. soon after, started displaying white VGA diagnostic, and taking forever to boot up. Bios update button crumbled after pressing

It is very hard to configure, there is no manual included and the manual you can download is a bad translation from chinese and very low effort was put overall in the product. The BIOS menus are very user unfriendly, and not intuitive. Most text in bios and manuals looks like a low effort translation from chinese. It is also very unstable, and the system crashes many times a day. Configuration of CPU and DDR timings is completely manual, you have to look up the correct timings for your memory and CPU online and set them manually because the BIOS is not able to auto-detect them. I recomend steering away from this motherboard and MSI brand in general.
