Please notice: Once you changed the length of your hydraulic hose, you should change a new set of connecting insert and olive to prevent leaking.

They have a small difference from the original Shimano but it works very well, the Oliva and Confection work very well, I don't have a brake fluid leak for now.I hope to be able to use it soon and maintain my review.Thanks

Originally purchased these because I read that these olives would work on my Shimano 105 R7000 series shifters. So far, so good, they seem to do the job well.

I purchased this to have some spares and just used one this set to shorted the brake line on a new Shimano XT brake set. While the little needle inserts look a little different from the OEM ones, they still seem to work perfectly fine. There have been no leaks or issues with the brakes at all. Given the price, I'd take these over the OEM shimano ones all day.

Not the same design as the original shimano's but they worked. The metal insert fits in much easier than with original insert and the brass Olive is shaped a bit different. As a personal preference, I'll spend the extra money on shimano just because I want peace of mind that they're not going to leak later on down the road.

I tried to use these olives/inserts for Shimano 8000 brakes, and they didn't work - the olive wouldn't push over the insert once the insert was pushed into the hydraulic hose. I've learned my lesson - this isn't a place to go with generic parts.2/11/2019 update: most recent set of Shimano olives were sized similarly to these olives, and were able to slide over the pressed in insert. If you crush the olive hard enough it captures the brake hose correctly. Iām revising my original review - these are fine.

This solved my need for a barrel and insert after trimming a brake hose. Inexpensive, but indistinguishable from the Shimano I had used before. Now I have some spares which is nice. Great value and perfect fit.
