It's a good box it's sturdy your rifle ammo will fit in it from your average sporting rifle not much to say about an ammo box it does what it does

It isn’t the intended use at all, but this case fits 1.5 mL glass perfume sample vials *perfectly*. When closed, there’s about 1-3 mm of space above the misters. The bottom piece also nests into the lid, which is useful if you want to store it open. The tinted plastic even helps to keep the light out. The only vial I have that doesn’t fit into the slots (it’s too wide) is plastic. My glass vials from Le Labo, Henry Rose, and Fine’ry all fit perfectly. I’d feel confident traveling with this case as long as I had a rubber band securing the lid. Similar perfume-specific storage cases sold on Etsy go for around $12-17 bucks and either don’t have a lid or are 3D printed. This is by far the best storage solution I’ve found online!

I took a chance and ordered this small MTM ammo box and found that it will just barely hold 20 rounds of 30-30 ammo with bullets down. I find that it is the perfect size for 30-30 ammo and uses much less space than the next larger MTM box. I did find that the fatter 243 ammo will not fit in the slots.

I purchased 8 of these boxes. They hold 20 273 rounds. I think I have 6-9 of these inside my footlocker box. So much better than just dumping your rounds lose.

Had to order the next smaller size. Specified size could almost fit 2 in each slot, see photos!The size specified for my odd cartridge (257 Roberts) is the "J-20-MLD-41", but it was HUGE, almost enough to fit 2 in every slot and about a 1/2" of head room to bounce and rattle around in. Sure they will sell you some foam sheets you have to cut to fit to 'minimize' the head bounce and rattling, only they will still rattle around side to side, and there is no way I want to store 30-50% larger boxes.I did order the next smaller size the "J-20-XS-41" and it fits "Perfectly" for my needs, it's even a tad shorter than the stock cardboard boxes, and it holds the cartridges down so they're not bouncing around.I did cut some 3" inner tube into 1/4" wide rubber bands to keep the lids on securely since they have no snap of detent molded in to keep the tops on.The MTM site does specify the box height size in inches, if you prefer free head room above your cartridges, but then you may need to cut up foam to keep them from bouncing around.Initially I ordered one of the correct "HUGE" size, then ordered one of the next smaller size, (which fits perfectly for me), then just ordered a large batch of the smaller size that fits.Tried to return the HUGE initially ordered box, but they said just keep it and still credited my account!Note my cartridge size only fits with the tip down (same as the manufacturers stock boxes) but that's fine by me as it allows the box to be even smaller that the stock boxes that are now crumbling apart since most are about 60 years old and reloaded a few times.Hopefully this will help you choose the correct size for your needs.Good luck! 👍

These worked perfectly for taking ammo to the range. They were a tad loose, but it wasn't enough to make them bad for the price. A wrap of electrical tape and some foam in the top to stop rattle. They are better than some boxes I have that cost a lot more.

Purchased this for the .17 hornet, the rounds fit perfect, but due to space in lid I've fitted some foam / sponge to press against bullet tip, add a elastic band (or daughters hair bobble in my case) and it's ready for hunting, and due to foam it's also silent.Well worth the money in my opinion.Hope this helps any .17Hornet users👍🏼
