MB210SP Amp and Enclosure MB210SP Enclosure

Simple and Easy Bass

The Magnum MB210SP is a simple and easy way to add bass to any vehicle system. This amplifier and enclosure package from the makers of MTX Audio is designed to offer excellent price and performance so that anyone can add bass to their music.

Engineered for Bass

The MB210SP enclosure is a dual 10" vented enclosure that is capable of handling up to 400 watts RMS power. The subwoofers themselves utilize a lightweight polypropylene dustcap and a large rubber surround to generate excellent SPL on any power. The large port on the front of the enclosure adds additional SPL especially when listening to music like Rap or Hip-Hop where a deeper more resonating bass sound is preferred. The enclosure is constructed using 5/8" MDF (medium density fiberboard) which means it is designed to handle excessive bass with no fear of failure.

Power Included

One of the best things about the MB210SP is that it includes an amplifier that is designed specifically for the enclosure. Two advantages, you don't need to worry about finding an amplifier to use with it and you don't have to worry about over or under driving the subwoofers because the amplifier is made specifically for it. All you need is some speaker wire and an amp kit and you are ready to go.

For $200 it's hard to say that these suck. If it was twice thw price, I would say that thwy suck. I've had single 12's that were louder and with better sound quality, but they were a lot more expensive. No issues with the amp ever cutting out or overheating, the whole unit is fairly small for a two sub box. They add low end sound and can rattle the mirrors and liftgate.Sound quality is the only down side. Certain notes sound great, some sound muddy. I've tried to adjust a few times but just can't seem to get them to always sound good. For a $200 sub/amp setup I can deal with that. These will eventually get replaced with something better down the road.I feel like this setup would sound the best in a car with a trunk, right now I have them in a small SUV with an open rear hatch area and I feel like that contributes to some of the muddy sound at times.Overall very good for the money but you do get what you pay for in sound quality.

I bought and installed these a few months ago, shipping was good, took a while, but it was free so i wont complain. The price was very low so i was initially a little worried, but it turned out great! The install was really simple, i had never done any wiring in my car before this and i was able to figure it out without a problem. If you have absolutely no experience in electrical wiring you may want to have someone help you with the remote turn on wire, you will have to use a crimper to connect it to the head unit. Now for the amp and subs. These are, like the description says, two 10 inch 800 watt subs. The amp is one, 800 watt amp. With that said, recommend using the amp that came with them for the first few months to break them in. I will be honest, i was comparing these to my friends 3500 watt amp and 12 inch subwoofer, both are competition grade. Despite being used to hearing that, i was still impressed by these. They are my first subs and i didnt want anything too powerful because i have an older car, but they definetly add to the music. For what i wanted, these were perfect. They had the perfect amount of bass, it fills the inside of my car without overpowering the rest of the song. I may eventually buy a more powerful amp, but even with the original one i am very happy. These are an amazing buy for an amazing price. If you are just an average joe lookin for more bass in your car these are perfect, they wont rattle your trunk so you dont need to worry about paying to have your car foamed. Buy the wiring kit that amazon recomends and it will all go perfect. Again, i am very happy with how they sound, and perform. Great price, comes with the box and amp, the perfect package for adding a reasonable amount of base to your music.

I was so impressed with my MTX terminator install that I did in my '92 Suburban that when I went looking for a new amp/sub combo for my Acura, of course I would check what MTX has to offer. I would have just bought another terminator kit, but this was cheaper and smaller (2x12 in the trunk would have been a tight squeeze).Setup was very straightforward and easy, and although the instructions could have been a little more in-depth, I realize that this kit is intended for novices who don't know a lot about car audio and providing more information would have ultimately been more confusing to most people rather than helpful.I decided to go with an amp/sub combo because there are many factors that go into creating a good amp/sub combo, which includes subwoofer size, how many subwoofers to hook up, how to wire your subs, what impedance level to achieve, etc. It makes no sense to buy an expensive set of subs, with a cheap amp, nor a cheap set of subs with an expensive amp. I feel like these combos are matched for both price and performance and you won't be losing out on either, not to mention it's much simpler (and much cheaper) to just buy it all in a combo deal like this. You really get a lot for your money with this kit, it doesn't feel or look cheap at all. The sub box is embroidered, is very heavy and appears to be really well built. The amp has a blue LED "cross hair" power-on light that is a nice touch.Trust me, you'll have more way more than enough bass for any type of listening at decibels that aren't causing you severe hearing loss. There is enough bass in this combo to completely saturate and overpower your entire speaker setup (why you would want to do that, I have no idea, but you could if "your thing" is only hearing bass when you listen to music). Someone recently reviewed that his/her 6x9 speakers have more bass than this setup, clearly he/she hadn't hooked up this unit correctly (or even at all perhaps?). The bass response of 6x9" speakers is no where in the same galaxy as this setup.I am in no way shape or form an "expert" on car audio by any means, but I have done quite a bit of playing around and researching so I do have a couple of tips when setting up your system for the first time:1. If your head unit only has 1 RCA subwoofer out, simply connect that subwoofer out to either the (L) or the (R) input on your amp. This is a monoblock amp and doesn't utilize stereo separation. You can use a splitter if you want to achieve the same thing (but why would you?)2. Setting your gain level is important to ensure undistorted playback as well as maintaining a healthy life of both your amp and your speakers. Proper technique for achieving the utmost gain without distortion is done with an oscilloscope, but the quick and dirty way is to set your head unit to the max volume that you will be listening to your music at (which if you'd like to continue using your ears for hearing, shouldn't be distorting or anywhere near that level). While your music is playing at that level, raise the gain on your amp until you can hear distortion in the bass, as soon as you can hear that, back it off. It's better to err on the side of lower gain for reliability.3. Setting your LPF (low pass filter) is important. You want your subwoofer to only amplify the frequencies that fall into the region of "bass level frequencies", having your sub responding to the full spectrum of frequencies (high's and mid's) will leave your music sounding very "muddy" and unclear. To set this properly have a song playing that you are familiar with, set the LPF at zero, then slowly start to turn the LPF up to where the sub is responding to the kick-drum and bass of your music. Keep raising the LPF until you can hear it starting to pick up higher frequencies (no longer JUST the kick-drum and bass), then roll it back down a bit. I have mine set around 85hz which to me sounds the best, but again, it's a personal preference and should be set to your specific taste. Most modern head units will offer you a lot of tuning options for LFP and HPF for a good separation.4. Don't be afraid to just have fun exploring, you'd be surprised the world of a difference just a few adjustments can make.I hooked everything up with Knuconceptz's wiring kit which was cheap, high quality and was more than what I needed to wire up this setup. One last thing that is very important, MTX provides amazing customer service. I emailed them with a technical question and they got back to me within 3 minutes! They were very informative and helpful and they really care about you enjoying your MTX product, that alone is worth them getting my hard earned money. If you're having trouble figuring something out, email them or give them a call and you'll be happy with the response and technical knowledge you'll receive. If you've never had an amp/sub in your car, do yourself a favor and get it, you won't be disappointed.

If your primary concern is adding noticeable dynamic bass that will shake your car and improve your car audio pleasure then you are in good hands with these. We're talking about $150 for 2 10", an enclosure, and an amp. It's the cheapest thing out there. Don't expect this to break your windshield or impress your friends from across the parking lot. However these things hit hard enough to move your stereo from average to beast with little damage to your wallet.I installed these into my jeep Cherokee about a month ago. Installation is very simple if you are familiar with sub/amp basics. (make sure you get a quality amp kit. Standard wiring is good. 10-8 gauge is all it needs). this kit is nice because it has everything but the wires. there's no guess work on box size or amp ratings.. all the hard work is done for you. I mounted my amp on the back of a seat and it hasn't over heated, even after a 2 hour ride with heavy hits. All subs need fine tuning either from the head unit or the amp so make sure to take the time to adjust everything to the levels that suit you best. Here's the deal: they are dirt cheap, but perform very well and balanced. Not the best or the gnarliest but they sound awesome inside the car and are easily worth the money.
