I bought my first pack of Muji notebooks in Tokyo back in 2007, and I have been a regular user of them ever since. The best thing is that they aren't too thick, and for us lefties, they're great for writing in since there isn't a hump in the middle from a larger binding.

the pages are silky smooth. the lines are the perfect distance apart. these notebooks helped me pass physical chem. and biochem. they saved an orphan from a burning building. they rescued a dog from a flood. i once saw these notebooks walk ten miles uphill both ways in the snow to deliver soup to their ailing grandmother.

I love these notebooks so much I would literally swallow them whole. They are perfectly sized, super lightweight, and have good binding. You know when you take a normal notebook out of your backpack and the whole thing is curling up and the front page is fighting for its life? I've experienced nothing of that sort with these books. Also it's very easy to keep the book completely flat and I can rip pages out very smoothly. The paper is so smooth, smoother than me around attractive people. It feels really nice and doesn't rub on your skin when your hand is moving across the paper. As for writing, I've used pilot 0.7 g2 and muji 0.5 pens as well as midliners. All work pretty well - no smearing etc - even with me being left-handed. The pages are thick enough to not leave an obvious shadow from the writing on the other side. However, I do think the shadow gets worse with 0.7 pens and thick dark highlighters. I have used these notebooks for note-heavy classes, usually one book is enough if you're conservative with paper but you most likely need two. Also I swear my grades have gone up while using these, maybe it's cause the paper is thick enough to absorb my blood sweat and tears when studying for finals

Son unas libretas muy bonitas, pensé que iban a ser mas chiquitas pero resulto que son de buen tamaño, las recomiendo mucho :)

I’m a junior in college now but have been buying these notebooks since my freshman year of college. They are thin which makes it so convenient to carry in your bag. I use many different types of pens and highlighters and do not have a problem with bleeding. I can’t wait for the new semester to start so I can purchase these again.

Japanese notebook paper is much better than other countries. The style is simple. I love it. Thanks!

i must have gotten a bad batch because muji notebooks are always praised for the fact that not much bleeds through their papers - and that is not the case for me whatsoever. regular stabilo highlighter bleeds heavily through as well as staedler triplus fineliners. the muji pens dont, which is good but not something to celebrate because it should be normal. not sure whether it was just my order, but i don't recommend buying this

This came with 5 notebooks, each with about 30 pages each. They are color coded as well, with different color lining on the binding. (Red, Yellow, Green, Grey, and Navy) While it seems like, considering the physical size of the notebooks, and the small amount of pages, that you wouldn't be able to fit much in them. However, there are no margins on the top, which make room for lots of lines and you can actually write a lot on each page! (More than I expected.) I ordered these for taking notes in my classes, especially the ones where notes are optional, just to help me stay organized.I also love writing with brush pens on the tops of my pages and using Zebra Mildliners to highlight. The brush pens + Mildliners both don't bleed through the relatively thick paper. (Note: there is faint ghosting, though.)Overall, I absolutely love these for taking notes and they are a perfect, compact notebook to bring with me everywhere. These also conveniently fit into two pocket folders.Things to consider: these are size B5 notebooks, meaning they are not as big as a normal piece of paper. There is also a limited page count, so these are definitely not the best notebook for everyone. They also have a bendy "cardboard" cover which adds protection. These notebooks also took a long time to arrive, and I didn't receive them until after my school year began. I ordered them in early August and received them on September 24!Although I do think these are worth it. I believe (with my shallow research) that these are authentic MUJI brand, and would definitely suggest them. I wish they had come faster, but they were shipped from Asia (because they are the real brand) so this was to be expected. I hope this review was helpful (:

I am obsessed with these little notebooks. I only WISH that they came in grid rule but hopefully someday soon. B5 is the best size for note-taking! The books are slightly smaller than other textbooks, manuals, laptop, etc. and so the corners don't get beat when carrying them around. The paper is nice quality. I use G2 pens and the writing generally does not bleed through (nor does the paper get crinkly). This is great if you have a lot of subjects or projects and like starting fresh notebooks. They have 30 physical pages (so 60 for writing); margin dots on the first and last line of every page; and the size of the book is about 7 x 10 (I have not measured). I am studying for the bar exam and have a lot of different subjects. It's nice to have everything for that subject in one place, and also nice to not have to crate large notebooks around. I was so pleased that only a few days after the package arrived I placed an order for another 10.The notebooks are good when laying flat on a table. The cover is soft, not not suitable for writing on a lap. Even folder over will not do. If you work in bed without a desk this might be an issue. The other night I was reading in bed and reached over to make a note and it was very awkward.
