I went with the cheapest set of gaskets I could find because I wasn’t sure of the condition of the bottom end of the engine so I just wanted to replace the obviously bent valves and throw it back together as cheap as possible. Having said that, the quality of the gaskets seems pretty good the coating on the head gaskets looks like the type that might flake off over time but they’re holding well so far. Only issue I had was the valve cover gaskets were formed slightly different than the valve covers so they took a little manipulation to get installed but they don’t seem to be leaking at all. I installed the valve covers with the engine out of the car though so they would probably add some extra difficulty to install if the engine was in the car compared to OE gaskets. The set included every gasket I needed to do the heads and I was working on a 2009 Subaru Forester with the non turbo EJ25 SOHC engine.

This kit has the most important multi layer HG. You only want to do this one time this is the kit to do it. The one time OEM is a mistake this is your ticket to a one and done subaru head gasket job
