These pencils are great for marking on fabric pieces used for quilting. They are much easier to use than traditional quilt making pencils. They wash off easily.

Write gently if you want to erase afterwards, excellent pencils for stencils or prewriting quotes on chalkboards before you paint

They write good and the tips last a while if you dont bear down on them. The only gripe i really have is the colors are very dull. I would have liked to see brighter more vibrant colors.

They are a fine product. However, the reason I bought them was for a special project requiring longevity and my Prismacolor pencils filled the bill much better.These pencils would work well for restaurant blackboards advertising entree or drink specials-something that changes frequently requiring the ability to erase easily and redo.Because they are "chalk" pencils, a light hand is required in order to keep from constantly sharpening more than necessary.In the photo, "Cape Hatteras", "Saint Malo" & "Sandbridge" are written with the chalk pencils. They smeared terribly requiring me to use Q-Tips dipped in water to clean chalk dust before switching to colored pencils. There are a few more names where I evidently used the chalk pencils; they are less vibrant in tone.I wouldn't recommend for younger children unless they can write without bearing down too hard.
