Works well as described and also floats with GoPro attached. It’s very lightweight compared to ordinary tripods. The only downside is the mounting area parts made out of low-quality plastic. Overall, the product is ok for the price.

I bought this selfie stick tripod prior to a trip to Southeast Asia, in which I planned to do a fair amount of snorkeling. Overall, the product worked OK but in retrospect, I would’ve bought a different selfie stick if I could do it over.PROS:- Floated with a GoPro Hero 11Black attached in waterproof case with glass filter on.- parts were reasonably sturdy, and the GoPro mounted just fine, plus I could change the angle the camera was facing and tighten. It adequately for better use underwater.- Came with a sturdy lanyard for extra security.- with an adapter to use as a selfie stick or tripod with smart phones, but it was somewhat tight and I don’t think it would fit an iPhone Max, but it did fit my iPhone 13 Pro.CONS:- sections sometimes stuck together and were difficult to extend the selfie stick, fully, especially in the water. I extended it fully before jumping in after my first use.- at 27 inches tip to tip, the selfie stick is too short and has a useful length of only about 22 inches considering where one typically would grip it. Looking at some of the better snorkeling videos on YouTube, it appeared those divers were using significantly longer selfie sticks and obtaining better, closer videos. In retrospect, what I should have done was to have bought a longer waterproof selfie stick, something about the 36 to 45 inch range, and then just attached a floating foam camera wrist strap to it. When one considers the wide angle lens of a GoPro, an extra one to 2 feet of distance closer to fish or coral would’ve made a big difference and how the underwater videos turned out.CONCLUSIONThis selfie stick tripod worked for me and was stable enough as a tripod as well as a selfie stick. However, I don’t tend to go on too many vacations where I snorkel, so each one is important to me, and on the next one I won’t be using this selfie stick, but will get a much longer one.

I used this tripod while recently scuba diving and snorkeling in Cozumel. I wanted to make sure I got a floating one in case I ever let go, and it wasn’t attached my hand. It floats well in my testing, although I never really needed the function thankfully.I like that this one has the extension and tripod capability as compared to a lot of other similar handles that are just handles. my waterproof camera case attached easily to the tripod and was held firmly in place. I like that I could use the extension underwater to get closer shots without needing to get as close myself to the fish.This is a great tripod and I’m really happy with this purchase.

I was skeptical because the twisting required to lock and unlock the telescoping part sounds like it’s breaking everytime. There are probably all kinds of microfractures happening that’ll eventually result in it breaking. Until that happens though this combo selfie stick, action floating cam handle, and tripod works incredibly well. Well worth the $30ish I paid. Another small gripe is that the phone holder attachment wasn’t designed right to be able to take selfies the way the mount is positioned. Not a big deal since I used my GoPro.It floated as advertised. The tripod was sturdy and held up well on a windy day on uneven rocks. I highly recommend this product.
