This works great, but it doesn’t work with Shopify. We couldn’t end up using it. However, it would work great for other businesses.

This barcode reader is detected as an HID device. Basically, it reads a barcode and behaves like an automated keyboard. Whatever information is encoded in the barcode gets typed wherever the cursor is and returns to the next line after each scan (probably sends a “return” or “enter” keystroke).I tested on PDF417 labels and it works as it should. It has an impressive list of compatible barcode formats. I have not tested all formats but I am confident that it will handle them.
