Original middle pickup in one of two '89 AS Strats I bought new mysteriously failed. Used the opportunity to experiment with this set after hearing them in a video review. Didn't expect much (and was even rather sentimental about opening my oldest guitar), but was shocked at the instant upgrade to my sound. Bandmate agreed, wife did too. Its simply a different sound than whatever they were putting in the AS Strats in '89. Where those flat pole pickups had a sort of lonely, aloof, clinical, even chilly clarity and jangle that I learned to love, these are warm, cohesive, unified, rounded, intimate in a way I didn't know could be part of a strat's character. All the chunk, bell, and jangle I'd wanted 35 years back without working around the icy and boomy aspects. After trying to figure out why pickups would make this difference, I gathered that these are working off the '69 model's design, which were made quite differently. Confident enough in that conclusion that this inexpensive set might just get me to try some CS-69s on my other strat for comparison. I did try another inexpensive brand's highly touted flat-pole pickups on my other guitar after this experiment, and found they did basically replicate my old sound fine... but now I'm into this older sound.Do know that pickup height matters a lot, esp. with the ALNICO V magnets, maybe even more with these staggered poles. Which, btw, were a reason at first for me to NOT buy these-- the idea of staggered poles felt like a sentimentality, being a relic of a different time when necks were rounder and strings were different, not applicable to today's guitars. But now I think this now-arbitrary stagger may actually be part of what's responsible for what I like-- for whatever reason.

まず見た目が良いですね。マウントすると見えませんがビンテージ感があってそれだけでもテンションが上がります。音質はブライトな印象でパワー感もそこそこありますがフェライト磁石P.U.から載せ替えると細くなったと感じるかもしれません。素性の良い安ギターをグレードアップしたい方には最高だと思います。

Although output described was to be 5.8k it was not . However .. “ henries “ are the actual numbers to use for accuracy. These are the same ! WOW !! Beats $199.99 for “F” brand. Same henries.. same tone ! Output can be different as long as Hernies are “ in the same “ zone”; pickup will react/sound very very Similar . Human ears can’t tell that less than 10 % difference in frequencies. So yes! Awesome ! Check out U-tube review on KGD Relic Strat upgraded. Explains it all there. Musiclily nails it ! Bob C.

It is said, you can't hear the difference between plastic or fiber bobbins. I can, and I can't believe no one has purchased these pups! Came promptly, packaged well. After installation to replace VINTERA 50's modified MIM pups... packaged incorrectly and malfunctioned. I'd rather have these!! Ya can't beat the price!!! WARM & CHIMEY.... VINTAGE STRAT TONE!!!

So I bought these thinking they were houng to be a different set.I had a hyway one neck and a black mim body...The body is fender bought off here....amazing.So...ok...all parts from here ctc pots...22cap.Fender hyway one bridge...and vintage type tuners.Wired it up like a 68 strat.OMG.It have Jimi vibe all over it.They are even a bit better than cs69s.And blues...!Whatt a set...at a low price.Vid to come.

I bought the set to replace the stock set in my Yamaha Pacifica - it's an HSS setup so I'm only using the neck and middle positions. Really happy with the purchase, and great value for what you get. Whereas with the stock set up I almost always defaulted to the bridge/humbucker, now I use middle position a lot more. For the price, you really can't go wrong.

They are kinda copy of Fender Custom Shop 69.The tone is perfectly spot on!
