I like getting these both the clear and the amber from music medic because they are always fresh and melt evenly they are not brittle and they are packaged well and are not broken when they arrive. imperative when you are re-padding to have the right tool for the job to make the job go well. This is the right tool!

After viewing several you-tube videos, I had a go at fixing my saxophone. Having never repaired/replaced saxophone pads, I looked for an adhesive that got good reviews. I ended up purchased the amber colored stick and replaced at least 30 pads on several saxophones and only used about an 1/8 of the stick! I think I will have this for a long time.

The product being sold is a single stick for the price (not 5 sticks of assorted clear and amber as in the picture), and it appears to be synthetic not natural shellac. It melts to a more pink/red color than natural amber shellac that I've used in the past. This may not be an issue depending on how you plan to use it, but in my usage where filling a gap in natural wood was needed and the result would be visible, it came out a different color than expected based on prior experience with other shellac sticks. Having said that, it arrived in good condition and would be suitable for other uses where it would not show.
