I’m up in the air about this Ukulele stand. It’s really sturdy and hold my uke well. I don’t have any worries that it will fall and feel it’s well protected. On the flipside because it’s so sturdy it’s a tad bigger than a 2 x 4 when folded. Because of the bulk, it’s not really portable. But it is really easy to set up just flip down the base and open. It’s a mermaid so easy to set up but difficult to carry yet sturdy and protective for my that I want to use it all the time. Right now it’s permanently placed in my bedroom. Which makes me sad because it’s so easy to set up.

By far, the nicest musical instrument stand in my collection. It is beautifully crafted out of ( what appears to be) real walnut wood, and is comprised of a few pieces jointed together by metal hardware. The final product is a sturdy stand that can be opened and closed. It is very sturdy with enough weight to make it seem solid and substantial. At its current price, it is almost twice the price of some of my other, similarly designed music instrument stands. However, as the saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. This stand is a whole world of difference better than my cheap, laminate stands. Unfortunately, I can’t tell you anymore than that. The most expensive musical instrument that I own cost $500. Would I park that instrument on this stand? Yes, I would. But if I had a real Stradivarius or similarly rare, or expensive instrument, would I use this stand for it? I don’t know. I don’t know what might be considered the highest echelon of these stands, or if I’d even want rare or extremely expensive instruments outside of protective casings at all. But for my collection; this stand is a lovely upgrade from what I had been using. Five stars!

This is a lovely little stand. It looks just like the photos here on this listing. The hinges are tight in a good way: if it gets moved it’s not going to shift or compromise an instrument. I can speak to its value as a ukulele stand but I’m not a violin player so can’t speak to that. The wood feels solid and substantial and the bit of velveteen on the surface that touches the instrument seems like it will be high quality and will last long-term. In addition to using this for ukuleles, I plan to use this for my soprano mountain dulcimer. Perfect for those smaller instruments. I probably wouldn’t use it for larger instruments or those with a long neck, as I’d prefer more support. This wasn’t made for those types of instruments, anyway. For solid hard wood, the price is extremely reasonable. Highly recommended!!!

Well made violin stand (or Ukulele) and is made from black walnut, very well crafted. This stand folds up very compact and easily fits in my dual violin case. Very attractive stand with felt strips on the arms to protect your instrument. Super fast shipping

I really like this violin stand. It's thick durable wood and has a smooth finish. It comes folded and takes a little bit of strength to open it but that is because the hinges stay tight in place which is a good thing. It has a cushion material to protect your violin and to keep it from slipping. You can store this in a case or a bag easily because it's about the length of a cell phone when folded but the width is a lot thicker than a cell phone. Definitely a high quality stand. I love that it will work with my ukulele as well.

I got this to hold a violin on a desktop temporarily, rather than our current very unsafe practice of just setting the instrument down on its back when the phone rings, etc. I've tried other products in the past--this is the first one that seems a good quality build, with attractive solid walnut and rubber edging to protect the instrument from scratches where it contacts the stand. It folds neatly into a pretty small space and unfolds easily enough while also maintaining enough resistance that it doesn't collapse. This is well made, well designed, attractive, and a good value for the price. I could see this to display violins at a good shop.I'm not sure I'd want to leave an instrument in a stand that has no neck support for the long term, but while playing or jamming, it would be an easy to take along stand that works well. There's no place to put the bow, but I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with such an attachment anyway. Good quality accessory that's perfect for when you need to keep temporarily setting down the instrument, or displaying in a way that features the instrument.

Violin stand is beautiful and well made, and the top hinge locks the stand in place to securely hold my 4/4 violin. The legs are lined with a soft material so my violin is not damaged. The stand folds down easily and comes with a drawstring bag for storage when not in use. I am so pleased with this beautiful and functional stand.

I'm using this stand for my ukuleles. It works great for my tiny soprano (2 inches thick) as well as my large tenor (3.2 inches thick). I love that it folds up compactly (7 inches long) for storage or travel. Wood finish looks great and is covered with soft foam on the areas that touch your instrument. Tip: when you unfold it, open the back part first, then unfold the legs second and it opens up easily every time.Amazon sells a lot of stands that they claim work with both guitars and ukuleles. They are wrong. All of those are too big and bulky to work with ukuleles. Get this stand instead. It works great with ukuleles.
