These are heavier duty than I needed, but work great. When mounting them in pairs, they must be even and parallel to avoid binding. I 3d printed a template to set them in so they could be mounted straight and are held in place. Works well, but was harder to create a CAD file for than I would have liked given the slightly weird shape.As common as 3d printing and other similar processes are now I hope they will consider including a QR code with their product in the future of a CAD file to simplify their use in production projects.

Almost no magnetic properties, so that confirms they are stainless. Unlike the 304 stainless that is all over the place this is 316 stainless. 304 will still corrode in salt environments, these are 316 and should do a lot better. Hence the marine grade. Overall decent hinges. There is some lateral slop when opening and closing the hinges compared to say your household door hinges, but its minor and will actually probably be a benefit as dirt and salt get inside the mechanism it will still operate smoothly. I put that as a plus and not a negative. The hinges shiny side open/close all the way to zero degrees (flat against each other), but the non-shiny side (the side against the door/surface only closes to around 85 degrees. See my pictures. If you mount these flat against a wall, then the exterior of the door the door can open all the way and press against that wall (typical boat door). Similar if you mount them on a door pocketed into the frame and door jamb, the door will swing open and still be able to lie flat against the way, (that would be the hinge at 90 deg. With and extra 5 degrees to go. I'm probably confusing things a little, just know that in one direction the hinge does stop. Look at my pictures if you are concerned.

So far these hinges look very good and the individual parts seem sturdy. There is just a bit too much play/slop in the hinge joint so I took off one star.

I don't own a boat, but I do own a Hot Tub! It was looking very bad, so I decided to completely refurbish it with new wood skirting and hardware. While looking for hinges & latches, I came across these and they checked all the boxes!Now, while my Hot Tub is not sloshing around in the ocean, it IS outside in the elements 365 days a year. Sun, Rain, Snow, Hail, Bird Poop, you name it, not to mention the bromine & ozone laden tub water. I wanted hardware that was solid, substantial and generally rust proof. As I was looking around the light bulb went off in my head. AHA! Marine Hardware!Well, I bought two sets of these hinges along with matching latches, and they look fantastic! (See pics) They were simple to install, came with all necessary screws and simply look awesome. I have already received a bunch of compliments!So, whether you have a boat, a mega-yacht, or just a backyard Hot Tub like me... this hardware is fantastic. 5-Stars!

I used two of these for a tailgate on a military surplus Jeep trailer (M416). They are very sturdy for the small size and do nicely. Flawless polished stainless steel finish. Being for my military trailer, I wish these came in black anodized or powder coat, but they are exactly as advertised and well made.

Love 'em. Exact match to other strap hinges that I purchased locally years ago. Only these were half the price. This concluded my boat deck, and hatch, replacement project. Really happy.

I purchased these hinges to replace some plastic ones on my boat that had broken because of age. The door was an access hatch to my battery compartment. The items arrived promptly and appeared to be very high quality and heavy duty. Like most marine hardware they were heavy and had a thick chrome plating. Because of the design of the hatch and framework they did not fit exactly the way I had wanted but they serve the purpose and will probably last a very long time. If my repair had involved perfectly flat hatch door and frame the hinges would have worked perfectly. My 5 star rating is based on the apparent quality of the hinges.
