Our existing gas fireplace receiver seemed to no longer be working. While you could still turn the fireplace on/off with the switch, the remote no longer worked to operate it. The particular original model I had was no longer made and this replacement (F60) is the "new" version that included the thermostatic control in addition to just on/off. Ordered from Amazon and received promptly. Installed and everything works fine. I do wish the cost for such a control device was less but it is what it is and was competitively priced when looking anywhere else online. But why would you...Amazon is definitely great.

I bought a house and the Napoleon remote for my npi45 insert wasn’t working correctly. The screen was distorted and the temperature reading wasn’t right. I bought a new one and it connected easily to the existing receiver (this item came with both remote and receiver so I have an extra one now). I love having the remote to adjust the temperature quickly.

This did exactly what I wanted. I installed the receiver unit in the switch box for the fireplace. The remote goes with me from the living area during the day to the bedroom at night and functions perfectly. My only regret is that I didn't do this sooner. Great price through Amazon - I looked at this at a local fireplace store which wanted $200 and would not take it back if it didn't work! No wonder "brick & mortar" is in trouble.

Makes life soooo much easier! We have a vented gas heating stove that is used as back up heat to our woodburner. Being able to add this thermostat has made life so much easier for us. No more worrying about if we've been gone too long, the heater will just kick on. No more trying to decided whether to turn it on or off before we leave depending on how the weather might be that day. I can't believe the people that owned the house before didn't just get one with a thermostat one it when there is this is one of your main sources of heat, but I'm so glad I found this on Amazon....worth every penny!!!!
