When we take our dogs to the beach they sometimes get blowing sand in their eyes. We use this as a syringe to gently squirt warm water into their eyes to clean out the sand. (It also works well clearing snot out of runny, toddler noses. We've nicknamed it "the snot sucker".)

I have used this type of booger catcher for 50 years. It's the only one I like. For my grandchildren and my children

I have others with a nozzle large enough so that you can get your finger in the bulb to clean it.These do not have that.

But not actually….didn’t pull anything out of baby’s nose. My 4 mo old has large nostrils so the typical one from the hospital has to go really far up her nose to get suction, but at least it works. I just can’t stand her screaming bloody murder when I use it because it hurts. I ordered this one hoping it would be better because of the wide opening on it. It has no suction power AT ALL. I guess I’ll keep using the frida nose sucker where I basically inhale her germs and get sick every time. At least it works. 🙄

I reviewed as many choices as I was able to find in order to replace my old nasal aspirator. I use it instead of a "netty pot". It's more effective. It is very close to what I was looking for, however, the bulb reservoir is a bit small as it's intent is for babies/small children. Other than the bulb size, I am very satisfied and hope these become more popular than the netty pot and a larger size is made.

I was very disappointed with this aspirator. Firstly, the one I received was not like the one pictured. The clear plastic top has a much larger base as it enters the rubber bulb. The top fits loosely into the bulb. It's so loose that every time the bulb is squeezed, any fluid in the bulb squirts in every direction from the gap between top and bulb. In addition, any squeeze that is at all vigorous sends the top shooting off the bulb if there's fluid in the bulb. It's completely unusable to me.

I like this over hospital aspirator (and other long, thin tipped ones) & snot sucker type aspirators (like Nose Frida & those without filters) but prefer NeilMed NasaBulb by Dr Mehta over this one for several reasons. The tip in NeilMed is soft silicone while this one is hard. Secondly, the bulb is clear in NeilMed and you can easily see whether it's clean or not. It's worth mentioning that it's designed that the snot is not supposed to travel inside the bulb so theoretically you'll only end up cleaning the removable tip so it's great that bulb doesn't need to be washed frequently. Thirdly, NeilMed can be sterilized by boiling, microwave and other disinfectant methods. I love the design of this one though and can't complain much. I've had one very similar to this one but the bulb was very hard. This particular one has a soft bulb and works well clearing out sinus passages without irritating the inside of nostrils. Reason why I didn't like Nose Frida is because I constantly fell apart during use and I eventually lost the parts. It doesn't stay together and it's hard to make sure the parts are together during use. Also, my squirmy son ended up with bloody nose when I used it. I've tried several snot suckers without filters and ended up with a mouthful of snot and immediately got sick myself. I think the nose sucker types don't protect you from your child's germs. So I switched to wide tipped aspirators & will not go back.
