Requires special tool to install but well worth half the price at auto stores.

2003 Ford Excursion 4x4 with 7.3 Powerstroke: This is a good quality vacuum seal that has the metal shield on the u-joint side that is just like the OEM that I replaced. I purchased the Bestong Axle Shaft Vacuum Seal Installation tool (F250/F350/F450/F550 & Excursion 1998-2004) from Amazon for $51.99, a good price and quality made. The installation tool is necessary to install the seal on the spindle shaft and then to install the axle assembly into the hub housing prior to mounting the unit hub bearing assembly.

Put this on my 2003 F350 6.0. You'll need a tool to attach it to the axle and then once installed onto the vehicle you'll need to use the tool again to secure it into the hub. Here is the tool: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0015PKC5W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1This fixed my auto locking hub leak. Its a big job but take your time and do it right. I saved about a grand doing this myself - well worth the time/effort. If you are this far into your hub and you have NOT replaced your Ball Joints this is a great to to do that as well. You can get the loaner tools for that at any O'Reily or other local Auto Parts.

Installed two of these with no issues on front axle/hubs of a 2004 Ford F-250 Super Duty. Although they should be installed with the special oil seal install tool, I managed to get these on with the butt ends of two 2x'4's, soft mallet, and some patience. Not recommended but good luck with the install. Good product.
