There are two of these, as I have seen from other shared content, and this happened to be the right on. It is grove for the application of locking compound and it has a greater depth. The other is shallower. This went into a 2012 BMW X5, E70 chasis, N55 engine. Needed replaced after the main belt failure caused by leaking oil filter housing/oil cooler gasket leak. I pictured this one along side the shallower one that came with the harmonic balancer that I bought. The shallower one was the wrong one.

Worked good and fixed vacuum leak from belt breaking and destroying old seal. Nice it comes with plastic install slide fixture. Use it or the seal will fold over and not seal.
