We’ve had this scooper for ten years and it still works perfectly. I don’t think this is even available any more but I figured I’d leave a review. This thing has sat in the hot Texas sun for a decade’s worth of seasons and still operates like the day we got it. The color has faded but the plastic is strong and the springs are springy. Pic is from today.Well done, Nature’s Miracle.

I have two 40-50lb dogs whose poop I compost. I paid $8.21 for this scoop in Oct 2019 and it served us well until one of the thick black plastic arms split randomly today. Pretty good for an inexpensive piece of plastic that lived outside full time. The cheap thin metal springs did snap about a year after buying it, but I contacted the company and they sent new ones free of charge, which were easy to install and lasted another 2+ years.The size was good, the grip was tight and it was easy to use on grass/dirt. I wouldn't call it non stick but a poop scoop is naturally going to have some poop on it.I won't be buying another for $24 now though. I'll be getting one of the old time two-hander metal ones with how much I hate having to toss and replace things.

Best on the market, we have wooden balcony flooring.The two claws when closed, close into each other so if the excrement is soft it picks it up very well.Spring is strong.I recommend it highly.

The dog doesn't like me using this to pick up her poo, so I use this to chase her around the garden like I'm Jaws. That's entertainment!

do NOT buy cheaper versions of this product...it works very well overall....springs can rust out or become weakened over a period of time and can be replaced if required. Best not to "tap" the jaws on a hard surface. overall the product is excellent....the claim of being "smear-proof" etc. is somewhat false but overall does not really matter. If you want to ensure it is "stick free" simply spray the portion of the jaws with WD 40 or Pam spray. Great product. Saves your back! . Good to leave outside in winter. Highly recommend.

This is an all-plastic scooper, except for the two springs that close the jaws. This makes it rust-proof (except for the two springs that could easily be replaced if needed) and allows me to keep it hung outside on the far side of the gazebo with no fear of weather damage. The plastic rinses very clean when that's needed. The grip and spring action is an excellent firmness, making it very easy to use by just allowing the spring pressure to close the jaws and to hold them closed when loaded. There is enough spring pressure to pick up even in grass, as long as you use a bit of the appropriate wrist action to align the jaws. The jaws themselves are a little over 6" wide and will open to just a bit over 4" from tooth to tooth.All of the plastic is quite heavy duty, and when used as designed I expect it to last a very long time. Having said that, I stand about 6' tall and over 200 lbs, and the excellent length of this scooper is about the length of a cane for me, so I find that I have to resist the urge to use it as such when walking. Since the hinge pins are also (non-rusting) plastic, if I were to start to make a habit of leaning on it as I walk, then I would not expect those plastic hinge pins to last very long.Update 08/15/2018: I have had this scooper for 17 months now, through a cold snowy winter and this hot rainy summer. I have left the scooper hanging outside the whole time. I have about 2 acres of lawn and 1 dog, so, if there's not going to be anyone playing in the yard, I mark the droppings with a surveyor's flag and about 1x a week I take a small bucket lined with a plastic grocery bag and clean up. Here in the Northeast, we have just had over a month of pretty steady rain, so I have experienced not only having to clean up in pretty tall grass, but have had to deal with some piles that are in high grass AND, just to make it "better", have gotten flattened by heavy rains. This scooper, with a little judicious twisting, has worked wonderfully - much better than I ever could using a plastic "pooper bag" - even under these grass conditions. It has also has worked well in 'normal' snow, There has been no cracking of any plastic parts and no rusting of the metal springs. I see that it's a bit more expensive than the other scoopers, and I have no idea how well they might work or hold up, but I am pleased by this one and, after having it for an extended period of time, I still highly recommend it.
