Sadly only works with older Humminbird HELIX units as it's an SD CARD and the new units require micro SD cards.

Many lakes in Canada have old paper maps but nothing on the contemporary Navionics or LakeMaster chips. This chip at least has the contours from the paper maps on many of the lakes, including the lakes that I fish frequently. Love that it works with my HB Helix units.

This and it has helped me find structure with my depth finder instead of with the skeg of my motor. However, some of the maps it contains not as accurate as you would like. Shallow reefs may be a hundred feet or more off from where they display it on the map, even when GPS is operating accurately. This isn't a flaw with Navionics only. I've had the same thing happen with Lake master map chips. This one contained maps of Lakes I would be on. Using it helped me focus on areas that needed my equipment's better mapping capabilities for specifically locating structure and fish. The highest resolution Contour lines cannot be relied on. At best they are optimistic interpretations of maps the government created as long as 100 years ago.
