I was looking for desk chairs for our homeschool room that were tall enough for ages 10 and up, but didn't have the swivel glides at the bottoms of the legs since we would be putting the chairs on carpet. I was really looking for the ball glides since those are much better for carpet, but apparently those only come in 16" and below. I ordered a 4-pack of Factory Direct Partners 16" ball glide chairs from Amazon and I was disappointed - not only was a bolt completely missing from one of the chairs, but the quality wasn't as sturdy as I would have liked.After we returned those, I found these NBF ones and, to me, they looked better than the swivel glides and because I was sure I wanted 18" chairs (the last 16" ones were too short), I decided to give them a try. I'm certainly glad I did! These chairs are sturdy and an excellent height for upper elementary kids, all the way up to adults! We purchased chair glides to put on these and they slide super easily across the carpet now, so no need for the ball glides after all!
