I've used this neck drape both with a baseball type hat and a bucket hat. In both cases, it is very easy to put in place and is very effective at blocking the sun. The material is lightweight and does not feel 'hot' to me, as if it were trapping heat in. The elastic construction holds the drape firmly in place, even is stiff winds (I used it during an offshore fishing trip). I'm very pleased with the effectiveness of this item and highly recommend it!

Happy with the product and it works well to shade my ears and my neck in back and on sides. I use it along with a baseball hat. This is definitely a move up from my use of a handtowel under my baseball hat or wide brim hat to shade my neck in back. The product attaches easily and stays in place.I can't speak to its actual spf rating, but it does a good job of protecting me from sun and sunburn. I'm not sure I see much if any 'cooling' from the cloth being damp, but the material does seem to be breathable like most poly or non-nature materials. As far as washing, I throw it in the washing machine along with other poly shirts and socks, and it washes up well, despite it calling for hand washing. I can recommend this product.
