In the daytime this is great for the short amount of testing done, if you are going to use this for wildlife etc through a spotting scope you should be good to go. But I bought this to see what it could do at night- they advertise it for such use. I can get Jupiter using my 110mm scope and could actually see some of the bands. But when I tried on the Orion Nebula it could barely pick it up at all. The app for this needs work. Most of the values you can adjust are meaningless numbers - it would be better if this was in seconds or fractions of a second like on a normal camera instead of a meaningless 0-5000, ISO is a meaningless 0-100. Also this does not allow you to take long exposures which is really needed for astrophotography. This was never going to be as good as a proper astronomy camera but it is disappointing, with a little work by Neewer it could be better- let’s hope they improve it- the firmware is upgradable- let’s hope it’s not something that they ignore.
