I use this softbox in my home studio and take it with me to work on other projects. It travels well and is extremely versatile. Great for getting as much or as little light as needed in a shot.

Love the quick setup and tear done of this item. It diffuses the light nicely throughout the room. It even came with a light blocker that we don't use often but comes in handy. I love this and have purchased a few for other light systems.

This light does RGB it does police effects. It does flashing. It does literally everything. A bit on the heavy side but that doesn't matter if you have a good stand

I'm quite happy with this lantern softbox. The setup and teardown couldn't be easier, which is great for me as I'm constantly setting it up and packing it away since it's relatively large, and I have a small studio where I can't have it permanently set up. The light it gives off is nice and soft, with good falloff.

Just love it! Compact enough for quick setups. I don't have a crew most of the time, I work on location, don't have a studio, and the size of this softbox makes it oh so easy to set up and carry by myself.The quality of the lighting is superb with my 60W iFootage COB instruments.The instrument comes with a mini to regular Bowens mount adapter which is what actually mounts on the stand, so the weight of the light and the softbox are balanced and stable.The diffusion is perfect for 60W, I can't say how it will work with higher wattage instruments, but for my use - mostly portraits and talking heads in video, it produces such a beautiful, soft, professional look, it has become my obligatory go-to diffuser!Set up and wrap is relatively effortless, so, yeah, GO FOR IT! Highly recommended!

This is my first lantern style light modifier and wasn't sure what to expect. It was a little hard to tell exactly how it actually opens and stays open, but once you see it in person it's amazingly easy.You basically just place it vertically with the bottom part on the ground, stand over it and push down on the speedring part. As you look inside when it starts to open, you'll see the "latch" style hook on the bottom and you just need to slip the other bar part (that's attached to the speedring assembly) underneath it. Reverse that to close it down again, but get ready for the whoosh of air that comes out the top and hits you in your face unexpectedly!The entire thing seems well made, but there are some elastic loops that go over the speedring knobs that slipped off while I was setting it up. Just keep a look out for those and slip them back over the knobs.It comes with a skirt you can velcro to the lantern to help flag off any stray light you don't want. I like that it came with the lantern and that I didn't have to buy it extra. It also comes with a carrying case with a strap and the bowens speedring.It is quite large (35" version) and puts out a nice quality of soft light. I purchased this for use in lighting groups of people sitting around a table, to help fill in some ambient background, and also as a general soft lighting modifier to try out for other things where I don't want the directness of a softbox or parabolic. Looking forward to playing around with it more and seeing what I can do with it.I would recommend at least a 200+ watt led light to use with this as a key light, due to how large it is. You may get away with smaller wattage lights, depending on how close to your subjects you want to put it and how bright you need things to get. If you just need to add a little ambient light to the room, you could probably get away with a smaller wattage light also.

As with most of the Neewer products I own, this is pretty nicely made. It works well and has a nice soft light. Pretty easy to control the light with the included shroud. I really like it!
