I purchased this adapter to use my old EF 500mm f/4L IS USM on my R7 and R8 as a backup to my Canon EF to RF adapter that has become quite worn. I have been using this adapter regularly for the past two months and overall performance has been on par with the Canon version. Build quality seems nice and solid and the lens and camera mount snugly but not tight. The lens performs just as it does with the Canon adapter and I feel that I can use it with confidence. For example, autofocus is just as fast and accurate, IS functions properly and I don’t ever lose connection between the lens and camera like has happened with at least one of the other third party adapters that I tried. I would not hesitate to recommend this adapter to a friend based on my experience with it.

La verdad la marca nunca decepciona, esta a un muy buen precio más. De la mitad del original de Canon, y responde muy bien el enfoque automático lo tengo puesto a mi R50 con lentes stm 40 2.8 y un 18-135 y responden al 100 sin fallas y trabas, el material super recistente duro y la base que trae le da un mejor soporte a lentes largos para cargar el peso, lo recomiendo mucho

When I bought my Canon RF camera , I was disappointed that my old EF lenses wouldn't work with it. This adapter takes care of that and now I can use all my lenses with one camera back.

Aluminum not polished. Neewer has never disappointed before now. I have a lot of their other fine products. I’ve found a better quality product for the same price on Amazon. Only use this device on short lenses if you must, I personally don’t trust bigger lenses for this device, cameras are expensive. Much more info to be found on Youtube. Wish I had gone there first.

I have had a positive experience with this brand before so I chose the adapter when I finally went mirrorless to bring over all my old lenses from my SLR. These adapters done have glass in them so you don’t have to worry about that quality. The electronic pass through is fine and all of the autofocus and other functions still work great. Seems pretty durable. I am using it with several lenses across two different cameras (r6mii and r100) both work great. It works with both EF and EF-S lenses and even works for using advanced functions via canon’s apps like the macro focus stacking. (Tested with the Ef-s 60mm macro)

First time using this on a shoot the mount adaptor would not allow the lens to function. It would just keep blinking MF in the upper left corner. This happened mid wedding shoot while in use. Thankfully I had other lenses that worked with this camera as well as a camera with the correct mount for the lens (both the camera and lens are fully functioning) I even tested different lenses on the mount adapter to ensure it was the issue. I tried cleaning contacts and even inspected it once home to see if there were any viewable issues, but there wasn't.TLDR don't depend on this for professional work. And if you do ensure you have contingency plans in place.

Everything works and the price is great!Only it is a bit loose, ie. you can twist a bit left and right.
