I bought this to use as a soft box, but it's not really much use for that purpose, as the diffuser surface is essentially the same size as the light source.The diffuser panel also massively reduces the light output. Lighting my subject without the panel required only 20% brightness, but needed at least 50% with the panel in place.The honeycomb works well enough, but the diffuser panel can't be used without the honeycomb, so it has even more work to do to diffuse the now-highly-directional light.The materials are decent and the manufacturing is good, but if you are buying this to use as a soft box you will be disappointed.I'd like to see Neewer produce another version for the TL120C without the honeycomb, and a diffuser surface at least 4x the current width.

This light diffuser for the TL120C RGB Light Stick does a decent job of softening the light, making it useful for portrait and product photography. The included honeycomb grid helps control light spill, and the touch fasteners make installation relatively easy. The carry bag is a nice addition, making storage and transport convenient.However, the diffuser material is a bit thinner than expected, which limits how much it actually softens the light. While it does help reduce harshness, the effect isn't as pronounced as with higher-quality diffusers. Additionally, the touch fasteners don’t always hold securely, requiring occasional readjustments, which can be frustrating during a shoot.Overall, this kit is a budget-friendly option that provides some diffusion and light control, but it has room for improvement. If you need a simple solution and don’t mind a few minor inconveniences, it’s worth considering. However, professionals looking for top-tier diffusion may want to explore other options.

While cumbersome at first with all the straps, it needs to be to support a 4 foot light. I tested this with two Nanlite 15x pavotubes, which are half the length, but using a joiner to make an equivalent length light. What's great is it worked...the back of this softbox is open being held by a decent number of straps, which allows for magnet clamps on the light or screw clamps as well as giving easy access to the light control panels. So this is still good even if you don't own the TL120C.It's easy to disassemble and fold up. Don't get scared upon opening the package as the velcro straps are OVERLY done for packaging...but you can just leave the softbox velcro'ed on and fold it after using for the first time. It is on the thinner side compared to their other shorter softboxes, but nothing major.

I purchased two of these diffusers kits for my TL60 lights.They are too short for the lights, even though they are designed to go with them. You can force them to fit, but they are not great. However, the grid diffusion does work.I would wait and see if Neewer change the design before I would recommend them to anyone else.

The storage and transport kit are of excellent quality; however, it is important to note that the kit does not include any type of LED light, which may go unnoticed when reading the product title or description. In my case, I ended up assuming that the light was included, which caused some mild frustration. Therefore, make sure you already own the TL120C Light Stick or plan to purchase it separately to make the most of this kit. That said, the items provided in the kit are of outstanding quality and craftsmanship.

So I got this but actually had the TL 60C, which is half of the length of the 120C. Well, that's fine because I can just cut it down to size. It fits perfectly into the case that the TL light comes with, but sure it also comes with another case ... So if you need a honeycomb for your TL series light, this works great of course.

To understand my review, I need to tell you I'm a complete novice. I was introduced to the Neewer brand very recently via a phone cage to attach lenses and have been really impressed with their products. I ordered this item thinking it included the actual light, not just the diffuser kit. If I were more experienced the price probably could have tipped me off.That being said, I've really liked the diffuser kit. After getting over my frustration with myself for having made a silly mistake, I realized I had an LED light bar I could try in this case. It's not quite as long as the TL120C, but it worked great!The case has a multitude of velcro straps for securing the light bar in place and the white diffusing fabric Velcros in place. It's very easy and secure as well as flexible. By securing the light bar in this case, it can be hung up many different ways.The materials are very sturdy and well made. The stitching is secure and nicely finished.I'd definitely recommend this diffuser kit (and I recommend reading the description thoroughly to know exactly what it includes)!

Since this diffuser is made with fairly thin materials and has a ton of Velcro on it, it takes a while to set up and take down, fold up and put in its sleeve. But it does work so there is that. It’s just not the highest quality it could be.
