It attracts and hold the Mag-Safe on my iPhone like no other mount I've used. My wife has an $80 Mag-Safe holder charger in her car and thing thing attracts and holds way better. I modified an old Logitech (Non-Mag-Safe) magnetic holder (the type you would glue a thin metal plate to the back of the phone case). I took apart the original Logitech, then I drilled & tapped a 1/4 - 20 screw thread through the center of the Logitech end plate put a 1/4 - 20 screw with thread locker on both ends and attached this plate to the original plate. The whole thing looks like it was made by a manufacturer and not rigged together. This Mag-Safe plate works, love it.

This year Colorado updated the law about not holding a mobile phone while driving. Before if a law enforcer pulled you over for another issue it could be added on that you were using a mobile device at the time. Now it is a primary reason for pulling someone over. Because of this change I thought I should update my phone mount. I use a pretty simple solution with a UTEBIT Adjustable Magic Arm with Super Clamp (Amazon item 1740138841) and a manual tripod clamp. This worked well but took a few seconds to place the phone and grab it back. Having MagSafe on my phone meant I didn't need to use this clamp any more. The NEEWER iPhone tripod mount adapter works perfect with this setup. I had to make a few adjustments to the magic arm clamp to make it fit properly, and it bottomed out the thread just before it was tight enough but that was easily fixed with some locktite. Now when I get in or out of the car I just pop the phone off the mount and go.Not sure how well it would work as tripod mount without a few more pieces. If you were to mount it directly on the head your phone would be pointed straight down. So you'd have to have a head that can rotate 90º easily and it would be awkward to get smooth movement.

This works great with MagSafe phone cases. I use it mounted to my focus monitor and it has a strong hold to keep my phone safe when rolling it around.

I rarely (almost never) get my packages lost or stolen, but for some reason, this magsafe magnet AND its re-shipped replacement both got lost in the mail. I think it's most likely the size of this unit that causes it to get lost, but maybe (because it's a magnet) it literally gets stuck to something?Product itself works great, if you get it.

Tried applying the adhesive ring magnet to a flat, clean surface (undersides of split keyboard). Detached after 15 minutes of usage.

I paired this with an all metal 1/4 tripod screw swivel mount and some hardware into my dash to create a more sturdy (no plastic) car phone mount. This is the way to go.

This magnetic phone mount (for magsafe or metal ring equipred phones) is great for quickly attaching phones to tripods or other gear. The magnetic force is decent, about average.The silicone pad on the attachment point provides some protection against scratches due to the magnetic force.

Neewer makes great products at reasonable prices. This is no exception. This powerful Magsafe tripod adapter has a 1/4″ screw to attach to standard tripods allowing for quick connect/disconnect of my iPhone.I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max and this is one of my go-to accessories while filming. I can have several tripods setup with each of them having one of these adapters I can quickly attach and remove between tripods to keep my filming going and making good time in producing my content. I definitely recommend this adapter!
