I set this up from my ceiling in my garage. I’m using two backdrops and a green screen. It is so handy just to have it that easily set up.Well worth the money

Fantastic product, easy to assemble. You will need to purchase 10ft long PVC pipes from your local hardware store to complete the installation.

I bought these a couple years ago for $47. Sooo surprise to see they are charging $119 now. It's definitely not worth an additional $70.

Funciona como dice y trae todo lo necesario para instalarlo.Talvez terminaré cambiando las cadenas por algo más resistente pero por el momento me sirve bien para mis cicloramas de papel (aguanta los seamless de 2.71 de ancho).

***THIS IS NOT TYPICAL!!!***The instructions are lacking, although it's not that difficult. What many people don't realize is that the included hardware is for installation into masonry/concrete. I had some #10 3½" screws already and was able to use those to screw the brackets into the wall where my studs were located. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect match on the other end. As a result, I went to my local hardware store and found the drywall anchors pictured. Those, combined with the additional holes I drilled into the bracket were plenty to hold it up. You can see from the picture that the silver screws are those mentioned, and the brass colored ones are the 3½" screws. Again, I drilled additional holes, because I didn't have a stud to back the whole bracket up. I knew there was wood there, because I had just closed up some transfer vents, so that was sufficient to anchor the bottom with the additional holes and the drywall anchors were just added for additional support.THIS IS NOT TYPICAL! I'm just explaining what worked for me and how I was able to secure the brackets to the wall.UPDATE: We have since built a full photography studio on our property. Again, the length is not optimal to match studs on each end. I was able to transfer these out to the studio almost two years ago, and we purchased another set as well. I took some lengths of 1" PVC board and secured those to studs for the top and bottom holes, then a vertical piece to screw these brackets into. The PVC boards are laid out like an "H" lying on its side, with these brackets screwed into that vertical piece. The product itself is sturdy and plenty sufficient for its intended purpose. Great backdrop holder for a smaller budget.

Been wanting this for my studio so I got it. I had to install some extension boards into the studs and then install these on those boards to make everything fit for 86" rolls but it does what it's designed to do, and I'm happy with it. But, when rolling up or down (wall mounted), the middle and top chains will hit the chain guards on the lower ones. You have to sort of hold the chains toward the wall to clear those other guards. It probably wouldn't be a problem if ceiling mounted. Otherwise, it's a good investment and recommended if you shoot much in your studio and want to (relatively) easily swap backdrops.

This is my first time using mounted backdrop stands, but this one was really easy to install. No problems at all so far and it holds my backdrops seemlessly. Installation was fairly quick with little need for instructions. The pieces of it are made pretty well and should last years of continuos use. I might buy another one of these to install infront of my first one, then I could have multiple backdrops to choose from with just the pull of a chain.

I’ve had a Prime membership for a very long time and til now had never Submitted a review on anything, let alone written something. Ive been through a lot of various setups looking for obviously the best pictures, but I also needed it to be easy to use. I don’t have a lot of space so maximizing what I have is critical. All of that said, this setup is fantastic. It gives me everything I need and the final product (the pictures) look professionally done (hadn’t used paper before- who knew!?). Then it’s out of my way when I don’t need it and couldn’t be simpler to do.I saw several people talk about troubles with the system staying attached to the wall or ceiling. In most cases, the chances of the overall length of the system being the perfect length to catch studs are slim to none. One side you’re able to attach to wood but the other only sheet rock. You can use sheet rock anchors, but I personally don’t feel they’re secure enough if it’s something you interact with on a regular basis (unlike a picture or something you rarely touch after it’s hung). If you just attach some wood to your wall or ceiling first, you can catch the studs with the piece (or pieces) or wood first, then attach the system to the wood.
