I got this thinking it would be good as both a portable flash and also a simple fill light for studio work. Unfortunately, even at low power settings it overheats quickly and once it does it takes a long long long time to cool down. I tried with a fan blowing on it and no accessories strapped on and it still overheated quickly and would take about 30 seconds to recover from each shot. After a 10 minute break this did not improve. I wish I hadn't wasted money on a second battery because you can't get more than 50 shots or so in a session with it regardless.

I own two of these and for the price they outperformed my expectations. This is the product that made me a Neewer fanboy. Easy sync to the trigger or to an on-camera Neewer flash with a master mode, great performance.

I have already purchased 3 of these. Price is great. Batteries last a long time. Some people will have reasons to not like this product but maybe it's the luck of the draw because I have not had any issues with these. I have been using these for the last 4 years.

I though this works with godox but it’s not. You have to buy its own niche receiver transmitter.

I use this pocket flash for every studio shoe that I have and also night time photography and it works incredibly well. When you have the right settings, it's not too bright and it's easy to use and the battery life lasts a long time

Used the Q3 on my first job and all went according to plan. The only small hiccup was with the cable I was using to trigger the flash, the 3.5mm plug didn't fit too well in the socket, so I've ordered a cable with a 90º plug to see if that's an improvement.The flash is easy to use and feels well built.To get the best out of this flash you'll also need the QPRO TTL Wireless Flash Trigger, these are brand specific and I couldn't find one for Nikon available in Canada, but managed to source one from the US, hopefully it will arrive in the next few days so I can do more tests.Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase.

I just got mine today. It’s a good strobe to backup my Vision 4 strobe. I can only use it as a slave to them but I need a smaller set to work with my Vision 2. It seems I can try to make them work.

This thing is - IMO - awesome! The unit itself is only a little bigger than my standard Neewer Speedlite, but puts out way more power with a faster recycle time. The light comes with a nylon carry case that has space for a spare battery, and a diffuser.I paired this with the Neewer Q-PRO trigger unit - it took me very little time and only a couple of passes through both manuals to sync this thing to the ETTL remote on my camera and I was shooting. I am fairly new to off camera flash, so being able to set this thing up on a lightstand and control it completely from the Q-PRO remote is a huge time saver, and allows me to concentrate on my shots rather than struggling with the gear. I am going to buy a spare battery for this thing and I feel I will be well prepped for just about any situation requiring off camera flash!

This is a fairly decent [portable] wireless strobe light that's well made and well performed. It comes with everything needed including a diffuser. The on screen menu is initiative as they all should be with the dial or settings adjustment and it' compatible with various wireless TTL triggers so you have quite a few choices there but you'll need their Q series or selected few Speedlites to get the most (wireless) out of it. It supports the typical flash modes (TTL/M/Multi) as most others do and its spec is actually quite decent in comparison to most others (well, not that many in this price range though); however, its color temperature seems a bit off during the test.All things considered, this is a fairly decent portable strobe light with good build quality and well performed in general. It's somewhat reasonably priced at $335 for what it provides and its overall usability.
