At first it looks too small. But this item is stretchy. Before you fit it, give it a few good tugs in all directions. It will fit, and feels very comfortable and cushiony under the left hand. Also feels secure, and looks smart. Much better than the bootlace version. Buy it.

Worth every penny, fit my 1975 King 1159 perfectly, such an improvement in the hold. I can feel that my fingers move quicker and are more stable. First thing I recommend buying for any horn player!

comfortable coverage of the valve block but no additional coverage of the underside of the leadpipe or bell flare where contacted in the gripped position. Designed for use with standard common design trumpets but can be stretched to accommodate some cornets, flugel horns, even marching french horns as well. well made with solid materials and good stitching. I cut off the brand label as it was IMHO in position that bothered my grip. some other brands provide the additional flaps to protect the leadpipe and/or bell flare at similar prices and different colors or patterns

El material es muy bueno, lo malo que es muy grueso...se resbala en el instrumento.

My son didn't like this and ended up throwing it away. He said it was too thick to properly fit around the horn and provide a good grip. Fr background, he's 13 and in his first 1/2 year playing French horn. He wanted this because he's using a school-owned instrument and the finish is wearing off and scraping against his skin. His friend has a similar one on his horn, but his friend's one was made from leather. The Neotech one is obviously made from neoprene, so maybe that's the difference in thickness. Whatever the reason, he disliked it enough he went back to playing the horn without it and simply threw this one away even after spending his own money on it.

I purchased two of these for my boys french horns. These have made playing more comfortable, because their hands no longer slip, and gives a little added protection to the horn. The neoprene wrap is cushioned and stretches to universally fit most horns. One was purchased for a single horn and the other for a double, they both are snug and fit well. Their horns are used every day and the wraps are showing no signs of wear.

This is an O.K hand grip. A little bit of the stitching starts to come off in a few days, but nothing major. Since it is so thick, if you play on a double horn, when you bring down you thumb, your thumb will slide across the top of the guard, and it feels awkward at first, but you get used to it. As the name suggests, it is made of neoprene, not leather, so if your hand sweats a lot, this is the perfect thing for you. Whoever said that the grip doesn't fit a horn, it fits a trumpet, don't let that stop you from buying this. It fits my Conn 8d perfectly.

This is a French horn hand guard, not a trumpet guard as the title says. It is a really excellent item. I was having real trouble with the heavy double French horn biting into the webbing between my thumb and index finger. This product solved that problem immediately. It is very easy to put on and take off, unlike leather laced guards. It also gives much more cushioning than the leather guard I have. I have ordered a second one so that I will have a spare should anything happen to this one. A great, useful product.
