Took care of the hyperflash with LED taillights with no modifications. With the middle tab up facing you the flasher needs to have the + on the rightMinus 2 stars for saying it was adjustable - the one I got isn't. We'll see about reliability.

After changing my bulbs out for LED bulbs, I had the "hyperflash" problem -- and so I purchased a pack of the resistors on Amazon that said they fix the hyperflash issue. It looked like an easy fix. I was WRONG. I spent SO MUCH TIME installing, testing, tweaking, and re-testing these resistors and NEVER got the "hyperflash" issue resolved.I wish I had known about this EASY FIX before I went to all the trouble installing and eventually removing the resistors. Here's a description of my install process which required NO TOOLS:1) Turn my keys to ACC2) Turn on the turn indicator (to either direction).3) Feel up under the dash and locate the black box with the hyper-flash clicking vibration inside. (This is better than listening for the noise because you can feel it better.)4) Pull the old one out of it's plug-in harness -- and leave the turn indicator on5) Plug the new unit in. As soon as it is seated in its harness, you'll hear the blinker relay clicking at its normal rate.6) This is when, if you bought an adjustable relay, you can turn the knob, listen to the click rate, and set it to your liking. (I prefer my turn indicators to flash a bit faster than normal speed for visibility purposes.)NOTE: I left the resisters I had purchased/installed earlier hooked up to the car when doing the above and removed them later so I could return then to Amazon as ineffective. Even though the crimps looked a bit used, Amazon had to accept the return because the listing said they would work on my car -- and they didn't.My car is a 1999 Toyota 4Runner -- and here's the unit that I purchased:I sincerely hope this helps some of you not fall into the same trap that I did. Best of luck to you all!

I upgraded to LED bulbs in my 1987 VW Vanagon and of course had hyper blinker. I just happen to see this and didn’t even know they existed. I bought one and it worked awesome, I could adjust the blinker speed and I was pretty happy with it. I did end up buying 1 for my 1973 VW Thing and 1966 Bug. Nice

Ordered the product to remedy a situation with lights on a motorcycle - all lights flash now that I've installed LEDs. Product didn't fix it. And it's not adjustable in the least.

I was gonna splice in resistors to fix hyperflash from LED turn signals on my 1991 MR2, but found a video online saying this should fix it. It surely did! It's not pictured, but the relay does have a dial on the back that you can use to adjust the speed of the blinkers. Kinda neat.I was skeptical at first because it's a bit larger than the OEM relay. The OEM relay has an adapter that you can take off, but since the new one is bigger, it won't fit over it. Regardless, it plugged right in without it and works!

Works great with my early 944 NA. Turn signals and hazards both work, and the adjustable flash rate is a nice feature.

Just installed and is working well on my 1984 Volvo 240. Just pull off the drivers side center panel, dig for the flasher relay swap them and done (make sure the relays match as for as the 3 wires). Seems way easier than installing LED resistors for each turn signal.

Works great to allow for LED turn signals in my Vanagon. I like the adjustable blink rate feature.
