This worked in my 2014 honda crv and years later it still works great. I've had it in my car for almost 3 years and its still going strong. I even ran my car into a massive puddle that shut off my car and everything, and the ac is still working as fine as the day I installed this. If you're hesitant, don't be.

It’s been working great ever since I had it installed in my 2008 Honda CR-V. The only complaint I have is that when you turn on the air it makes an audible click sound as the compressor is engaging and compressing the gas. Other than that I’ve had no issues as of now, but nice cool air in these summers months.

I sure wanted this to work after extensive research / watching all the typical You tube vids / buying the vacuum pump and gauge kit - only to find out AFTER I already installed it that the clutch was not engaging! I compared it with the original (which are known for their faulty clutches) and sure enough when 12V DC is applied it just never reacts - what a bummer.....I might as well add in some installation tips to save anyone else time :1) Connect a 12V DC source to test that it reacts magnetically BEFORE you install the compressor - grrrrr!2) I'm not sure why a company ship oil that needs to be drained but make sure you do that / refill with what they send.3) Continuity test the thermal switch since other got burned by this too (if there is doubt after the fact you can just short between the two pins from the back of the harness).4) Buy extra fasteners for the all those that get destroyed by removing the plastic panels for access (I used ramps to get access that way). The two that had bolts in them were so rusted it destroyed the panel as I unscrewed them (in retrospect it may be better to use vice grips to hold the sandwich of panels together so the one underneath will not spin?).5) For belt tensioner access - first disengaged / lift up the power steering reservoir (there is a metal release tab) - it is crusty so you'll need to wiggle it a bit and it will make it much easier to access the lower two bolts / remove the bracket - then bungie it all out of the way.6) I used a 14 mm box wrench and a 1/2 inch ratchet (inserted into the open end of the box wrench) to loosen the tensioner (pull towards the front of the vehicle). When installing the belt I found that I needed to add a piece of pipe over the ratchet handle to get extra movement forward (I was working alone).7) To get the electrical connector loose from the compressor - squeeze on the top end of the connector (the side that is going upward back toward the main harness) - it isn't intuitive at first. Another option is to to first lift off the compressor end of the connector from the bracket then it allows you a better angle for access to the entire mated pair.8) When going to bolt the new compressor in place - first set it in place such that there is a top retention area that holds it (versus trying to use the 4 bolts and potentially stripping the threads due to misalignment).

I'm an HVAC tech and purchased this compressor for a 2007 Honda CR-V, All Wheel Drive. It's my Wife's car so I wanted to make sure the compressor was new. I installed it a few weeks ago and it's working beautiful. The kit is complete, new and comes with everything required minus tools and skill to have your Wife happy with Cool air on a hot summer day. I got this baby cranking out 32.4F air out of the vents on a 70F day. Excellent Buy! Please, Don't buy if your not certified or very skilled in refrigeration. /// Update 1-8-2021 Fri., It's still working well. A good buy. 👍***Update*** 3/6/2024, It's still working great!

I bought this to repair a friends AC. fit like factory and worked just as well... company had it here when they said they would (actually 2 days before) and it was easy to add oil and install... good company and product ... I would buy from them again. (I have 3 certifications in A/C work)

So far so good. Much cheaper than buying the part from Honda. Hopefully, it lasts

This kit installed and fit perfectly on our CRV. There was an issue though. After I installed the kit, the compressor would not kick on. I replaced the relays, which didn't help. I then replaced the low pressure switch, which wasn't the problem either. To make a long story short, I replaced or checked everything that WASN'T in the kit. Still nothing. After purchasing a Honda factory service manual, it led me to check the new temperature sensor on the new compressor. Lo and behold, it was bad. I swapped the sensor from my old compressor to the new one and it clicked right on. The a.c. is colder than when the car was new. I contacted the seller and they said "ill note down your order for any trouble you have in the future so we can help you the best we can". Well, to be honest, a new compressor temp sensor would have been nice. So if your new compressor will not kick on, check the sensor with a digital multimeter. It should have continuity. If the meter reads O/L, replace it. As a matter of fact, test it before you install it.3 stars were given for my aggravation. If the sensor wasn't bad, 5 stars easy.
