The waistband on this pattern is one long wide strip. The front is equivalent in length the back. Clearly, the makers of the pattern assume that your torso goes straight up and down and you have no bum. This may be easy to make, but so is a potato sack. I have never in 35 years of sewing seen such a poorly designed pattern.
