I make a lot of greeting-cards which I donate to local hospitals, etc. Have been embossing for years with traditional embossing powders. These new glaze-powders are truly different, and wonderful! They create a translucent glaze (thus the name) on the paper-surface, which means you can do some very interesting layered things under them with markers, pencils, etc. I love these glazes, and can easily see “needing” a bunch more of the available colors!

This seller shipped right away, embossing powder arrived just days later! 6 days before earliest expected date. I took a chance on a new seller and so happy I did! The embossing powder is distress by Tim Holtz.. enough said! Very happy customer!

I like the Distressed Embossing Glaze. It is similar to regular embossing powder but it does not cover the stamped image. It’s sheer. It actually makes the stamped image bolder and enhances the color. I overlapped 3 colors (Broken China, Peeled Paint & Antuque Linen). In the attached photo I used the Tim Holts embossing Dabber which I need more practice in using. I think VersaMark embossing ink may have worked better.

These are great for a overcoat to the distress ink and I love to add color to black and white or sepia objects

I love these glazes! What is so amazing about these is that you see through them..hence "glaze". Other embossing powders are all opaque. You can use these to add a hint of color to the Tim Holtz paper dolls and other similar items. What I use them for mostly is on my stamped images and cards. They add an amazing antique look or a very modern glass look (depending on what you're glazing) to my cards and 3D paper projects.I even made stain glass windows for my 3D cardstock church I just made. Worked GREAT! I used vellum to put them on. Just had to be careful not to over heat. And they still allow the lights inside the church to shine through the glazed vellum windows for the beautiful stain glass look.I keep these in a drawer for now so I used little round stickers from Dollar Tree to write the name of each color on the top of the lids. Makes it super easy to find what I'm looking for.
