If you need a cheap new stylus for playing music this is a great item. In regards to being a replacement for the original stylus of the pioneer plx-500 turntable, this is not the same quality for sure. If you scratch vinyl, and need a new needle for that, this will not be able to withstand. The needle will slide out of the vinyl and not keep tracking.
