I liked how easy this was to install. It only took a few minutes. I should have done this sooner.

Works for a 2009 Chevy HHR LT if you have a metal file and dont mind using it to enlarge the hole for the mirror selection switch, ever so slightly. Best of all: you can't even tell that it was modified at all. While the switch did technically fit (snapped right in) the rocker switch was square-ish and the cutout was round-ish so it was just a hair-to-tight. This made it possible - though difficult - to move selector from side-to-side. Otherwise, the switch was perfectly functional (even before modification).TLDR: If you HATE the idea of sanding the plastic cutout of your HHR, keep looking - this is not the part for you.Im still giving it 4-stars b/c the price was good and for me a little sanding was not a big deal. Even of you don't sand it, I mean, yeah it sucks if it's a little tight, but it's not like you need to adjust your mirrors ever time you get into the car.

-Did not need to remove door panel-Used plastic panel remover to remove plastic cover from panel(see youtube video)-Needed very small screwdriver to separate plug from switch-Check, operation before total reassembly

This was really simple to install in an 05 Chevy Malibu Maxx. Definitely worth the price.

When replacing in an HHR, you need only remove the door closing cup’s 2 screws and gently pry the cup up from the left side first, out of the door panel. The right end (switch end) of the cup only, has a lug to secure it down into the door panel.
